Lollipop Chainsaw looks more like No More Heroes with a chick than any of the other zombie games out fight now.

I wasn't too interested in it, but then I heard about the gimmick of using dance moves to finish off enemies and that sounds like a recipe for awesome.

Just ordered Killer7. I've only played about 30 minutes of it, and that was three years ago or more. What am I in for?
You have no idea.

As for Lollipop Chainsaw Boob Time or whatever, it's a Suda game so I'm going get it no matter what.

Lollipop Chainsaw is about rock 'n roll zombie demon lords trying to murder a cheerleader with a chainsaw that kills her enemies using choreographed dance moves and has a severed head attached to her belt. Come on, guys, that's fucking AWESOME!

In other news, WB Games is publishing it in the west. Hopefully they'll do a better job than EA did with Shadows of the Damned. And UbiSoft did with No More Heroes. And Capcom did with Killer7...

Avaitor

Sounds like Space Channel 5 of the Dead.

I actually kind of like the sound of that.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

I played the No More Heroes demo today on the PS3 and... yeah, this game is weird without motion controls.

Foggle

Not too surprising. NMH 2 was really boring with the Classic Controller.

So, what's everyone's favorite No More Heroes boss (from either game)?

Mine is Dr. Peace. Everything about that fight is awesome; the song he sings before it begins, the music during the fight, the finisher when you've just about beat him, Travis actually somewhat feeling remorse afterward, the level leading up to it that lets you play some Wii Sports-style baseball... sure, the fight itself is pretty easy (cool and fun, though), but it's still one of my absolute favorite boss battles and characters in any game.

I like everything short of Bad Girl. I still remember the first time I fought her and she got an insta-kill on me near the start of the fight. Total bullshit.

You might complain about... him... having one hit kill attacks, but at least they are telegraphed well and you have enough time to dodge. Hers were just awful and totally cheap. Boring fight, too.

The main problem with Henry's one-hit kill attacks is that it takes 45 minutes to beat him. But that fight was epic, so no complaints here.

The thing with me was that he had a wind up and if you play the fight cautiously (like you were basically forced to) it made the fight intense and nail biting. Bad Girl gives you no indication at all and can go into "insta-kill" mode at the drop of a hat which is really annoying for a fight that is based on aggression. They could have just made the move a critical, but no it has to kill you. Sigh.

.... Almost everything.

Bad Girl's one hit kill wasn't really random, it was when she got down on the ground and started to cry. It fools you the first time, but if you see her do it again just stay away from her and she won't insta-kill you.

She can do that when you're in mid-combo, though. I had that happen to me at least three times. That's why it's bullshit since there's no indication of it starting until it's too late. Of course, once you know the move she tends to abuse the shit out of it, so you have to constantly wait and wait.

Other than that, the fight is pretty standard stuff.

Sometimes when she's crying it's NOT a trick, though, and you can score a lot of hits on her. There's a way to tell, but I forgot what it was. :whuh:

Very cool! Too bad there's no Steam release, though (not that I expected one). Sine Moria looks kind of lame, but this is right up my alley! Can't wait. ;D
