Quote from: Hideki KamiyaWe are a developer. Nintendo are the ones kind enough to fund and publish our [The Wonderful 101] and [Bayonetta 2] projects. So if Nintendo says "We are publishing Bayo 2 on PS3/360." Then it will happen. So please go ask them, not us. ... It's supposed to mean what it says. If you want a PS3 version ask Nintendo. You might also want to ask for PS3 Zelda.

Best satire review I've ever seen. These guys do a really good job of parodying all the journalists who gave AR negative reviews.

While I haven't played the game, I also wish that there were more fighting games made in this sort of style, or at least more that tried to experiment with the formula in general. This game kind of reminds me of the Power Stone games in that regard, in that it tries something new for a change and seems to be more about chaotic brawling and actually utilizing your surrounding environment as opposed to just stringing together combos, even if that particular element is present in the game as well (granted that this is obviously a much deeper game with a steeper learning curve).

That's actually one thing that pisses me off about people who hate on the Power Stone games just because they aren't some "deep" or "technial" fighters along the lines of Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Tekken, and other such games. But I say fuck it. Don't we already have enough of those more technical fighting games? I don't give a shit about that in Power Stone. The game is fucking fun and is clearly more about having fun than winning or losing, a concept that some people just can't seem to grasp.

As for Anarchy Reigns, it seems to be like a large-scale brawler with a fairly intricate combat system and a really rewarding level of challenge in terms of mastering its mechanics. That seems right about up my alley. Of course, being that none of you guys play this game on the XBOX360 (and I can only imagine how abysmally low the player-count is for this game in regards to its online community), I may unfortunately not get a chance to try out this game's multiplayer anytime soon, so it'll definitely be a long while before I can pick it up (unless I miraculously find some friends to play it with, somehow).

Hideki Kamiya wants to make a Bayonetta spin-off for 3DS! http://www.siliconera.com/2013/09/01/hideki-kamiya-would-like-to-make-a-bayonetta-spin-off-for-3ds-starring-jeanne/

Allegedly, he also recently said that "he wouldn't mind Platinum going 2nd party for Nintendo." As I thought, it was confirmed as a mistranslation.

I now think this is their best game.  8) (I didn't make those by the way, that's a twitter pic)

Those look delicious. :swoon:

I don't know if anything will ever surpass God Hand for me, but Bayonetta and Vanquish come close.

All the Metal Gear Rising DLC is now free. Forever. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-11-05-metal-gear-rising-revengeance-dlc-made-free

Love you, P*.

And here I actually paid for JSS.... I'm really beginning to hate all things DLC.

This is a one in a million thing, never seen it happen before. I was thinking that people who had already bought the DLC would feel ripped off, though. At least you can still get the VR Missions and Blade Wolf for free. :)

I guess I should expect it at this time in age, but I didn't think MGR would sell enough to even warrant it getting all the DLC, let alone it becoming free in the lone run.

How come I never knew that this even existed until now? I'm sure that it probably sucks like the DMC anime did, but I still want to watch it for some reason. It looks like it's just a retread of the first game's plot, though.

Anyways, I'm about half-way through my Hard difficulty playthrough of this game, have managed to beat MGRR on Revengeance difficulty (albeit I didn't go for the S-rank achievement), and I played through Vanquish once and will probably return to it eventually to tackle tackle the Hard and God Hard levels of difficulty. So yeah, the 3 games from Platinum that I've played are definitely top Calibur, and while I hear that Anarchy Reigns isn't quite up to their usual standard, I plan to give that game a shot, eventually.

These guys are definitely the greatest action game developers currently around. At one point I thought that Team Ninja would claim that title, but then Itagaki left and Hayashi drove the their name to shit. So, basically Platinum has virtually no competition that even comes close to it.

I want to play their Clover releases eventually as well, however I have tried quite a few hours of Okami before, and while it may have just been wonky first impressions, it want all that crazy about the game, even though I know that so many people love it. That said, I'm most interested in God Hand, since pure action games are clearly what this developer does best.
