LD Talkback #95.

Another repost.

Far from perfect, but still the closest thing to a good Conan movie we're going to get. Another 80's gem.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

With a certain eye-poppingly bad reboot already in theaters (for which I am bound to see, at some point... and bound to hate), I'd say it's high time for me to buy the DVD of a real Conan flick.

Not the greatest film in the world... but in comparison to the one we're getting right now, it's practically a work of art. Good movie, I say.

One of these days I need to make a video comparison of the endings of Conan and Apocalypse Now since Milius virtually xeroxed himself for that.

Huh.

You'd think that it would be too soon to do another Conan reboot, after the recent one bombed so hard. I'd also say that Arnold is too old to play the hero again, but by Crom, there are plenty of fine stories starring an older Conan, so it could possibly work.

Or it could totally blow, like Destroyer and the remake. We'll just have to wait and see.
