Super Monkey Ball is probably the best Game on the Gamecube.

Only SMB2 and Double Dash come close.

Amazing single player campaign, amazing multplayer modes, amazing soundtrack, amazing controls, and on top of it it has a fantastic art style.

It has the total package.

Shame that Monkey Ball seems to have faded into obscurity.

Speaking of Double Dash: Kirby Air Ride >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Double Dash.

I'm still waiting for KAR 2 Nintendo.

No, I mean, those are all undoubtedly great games, but nowhere near the best the system had to offer. IMO.

I dunno, I've played a lot of it, and it's still the main reason I go back to the Gamecube games when I go back to them. Double Dash, too, but SMB has a better single player that lasts longer.

My only regret has been the lack of a Super Monkey Ball 3. I wish Sega would get on that.

Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

I thought you hated Kirby? Or was it Yoshi? I forget.

I remember when every single GameCube first party title was considered disappointing or a series-killer and any good 3rd party game was people just waiting for the superior PS2/Xbox port.

Sure seems like the more things change, the more they stay the same.

It's funny, too, because pretty much every multiplatform game where the GC version was the originator was usually terrible or noticeably inferior when ported. I don't think the PS2 had a single best version of any game that was on all 3 systems, but that didn't stop them from selling the most. The mainstream audience simply doesn't care about these things.

But wow, that Wind Waker reaction.

Yoshi, lol.

But I just really don't like that particular game.

So would you say Yoshi's Island is the worst game of all time or in the bottom ten? I promise I will not make a rebuttal to your response.

I'm not THAT heartless bro.

But Yoshi's Story does leave me cold at best.

Sir, as a Yoshi myself, I take offense. >:(
If the first Yoshi game you played was Yoshi Story, it's understandable. That game's soundtrack was ear-drum splitting as were the incredibly over-used Yoshi voices.

But as someone who played YI first on the SNES, I was introduced to the best version of Yoshi off the bat. ;D

What if I said it was Smash?

I mean, even Jigglypuff had that epic down-B attack if you nail it right.
