Bought Mario And Luigi: Superstar Saga for the Wii U VC today. It looks weird that blown up on screen, but it's also crystal clear, pixel-by-pixel. Happy to have it. Now I need to get another money card for Wii U. Kirby And The Magic Mirror soon!

So, did anyone see that Mario Kart 8 direct? There was a lot of new info there. The best news seems to be that all the new courses look excellent and the retro courses all seem to be heavily revamped.

Yoshi Valley N64 in particular looks incredibly fun. (We can stop with the MK64 retro courses now, all the good ones have been brought back)

I don't get this roster in the least. If they were going to have Rosalina and Peach variants why didn't they just dig up Cosmic Rosalina again?

That, or the young Rosalina from the storybook would have made far more sense.

The roster is easily the worst part of the game (other than the lack of original battle courses... so much for my dreams of SNES Battle Course 2 to return) on a general variety standpoint. Even looking at Double Dash which had half the roster of this it's not quite as good.

No Diddy Kong? Bowser Jr.? Funky Kong? Dry Bones? King Boo? E. Gadd? Dixie Kong? Nabbitt? Birdo? Fawful? There are so many missed opportunities here. Combining Metal, Koopaling, and Baby characters, they take up 14 slots. That's almost the whole cast of Double Dash. Unless there are DLC characters, this is probably the worst Mario Kart roster so far.

That's kind of annoying since everything else they showed off looks great from the single player Vs. mode to the online tourney options. I jut wish they could have tried harder in those two areas.

I think DLC characters is probably what they're going to try to do sadly. Mario Golf already has 3 of them lined up and ready to sell on launch day, so I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to sell extra Cups for Mario Kart and included a racer with each as an incentive.

But yeah, the content for the game is already a huge step up from the last few games. Won't be long for me to break down and buy it for my bros to enjoy.

The Smash Bros. NSMB stages (one for each version) have no "Bahs" in the music.

Why can't we get that for the normal 2D Mario games? The songs are actually really good without them.

I could have sworn another game did something like this. Like, a different Mario sports game or one of the Sonic racing games had free DLC that was basically another company's product placement. Not like Wreck-It Ralph or Danica Patrick, but more akin to what EA did with Sim City with the Nissan station.
