Ugh I want this so bad, just wasn't planning on spending money this week.

If I cave and pick up the Dr. Mario amiibo later, I might as well though. Unlike a lot of games I buy, I can definitely see myself making immediate use of this, as opposed to just sitting around and "whenever I get to it" being the overriding theme. It just looks like way too much fun.

Foggle

I can't wait to make the worst Mario levels ever and force my friends to play them. :sly:

First Super Mario Maker course!

It's just a basic SMB1 level with the base tools, but it sure was a lot of fun to make.
I'll save this for when I pick up the game. Wanted so badly to pre-order, but I'll have to wait a week or two before I can grab it. :( Glad you're having fun!

What's your friend code, btw?
I posted it in the Gamertag thread. It's "Spark_Of_Spirit".

The game is pretty awesome. I just wish I could unlock tile-sets faster.

Yeah that seems kinda lame. Doesn't it supposedly take like, a couple days worth of playtime to unlock the World tilesets?

There's supposed to be a faster way to unlock it, but I can't find a detailed explanation on how to do it.

EDIT: I just did it. Just drop enough blocks and you unlock things earlier than usual.

Oh yeah, Spark, can you add text balloons/boxes to your levels and/or create full worlds with multiple stages? :)

Spark Of Spirit

I've seen text balloons in stages but I don't think I've unlocked the ability to use them yet.

You don't create full worlds, but you can play 100 Mario mode online which lets you play between 8-16 levels in a row of varying difficulties from every level online. Which basically means every time you play the mode it's a new experience. Every time you beat it you unlock a new amiibo costume for Mario. There's also 10 Mario mode that puts you through 8 levels from all the ones pre-loaded in the game.

I'm a bit overwhelmed with what to do. But I've now got the Underwater and Fortress themes. I'm still working my way to the SMB3 and SMW themes.

Hmm, okay, that seems like a neat compromise. :joy:

Spark Of Spirit

A second after posting that I have the SMB3 style and SMW is on the way.

Hooray!

Is NSMB style the last one or one of the first ones?

Spark Of Spirit

I got everything unlocked.

NSMBU is the first style you unlock.

Target had about 70-80 Dr. Mario Amiibos stocked. Preordering that was pointless. No sign of any of the others today. Target seemes to have never even stocked them and Best Buy looked like it had been ripped apart. All the spots for Ganondorf, Zero Suit Samus, Olimar and 8-Bit Mario were empty, the common Amiibo were all over the floor.

Does anyone think future Mario games should shake it up a bit with story?
