That's very true. I've only had to take down a stage once because of players getting stuck, but when it comes to things like Bowser messing up I just leave it. Not much you can do about him.

Thanks! I was trying to make a Part 2 for it, but scrapped that. I ran out of blocks and enemies and couldn't achieve what I wanted. So I'm repurposing some level sections for something else that will hopefully be up in a few days.

I think I'm going to dial it waaaay back in the future, honestly. Both those last levels took me forever to upload because I couldn't freaking beat them. Trying to be malicious to other players in SMM means also being masochistic. Yours are way better balanced. I loved that little brick building one. Each room got just a little bit harder in a nicely scaled way.

I need twelve more stars before I can upload more levels though, so if/when I reach that point I'll probably have a few easy levels to put up.

If you want to try a really inventive tough level, try this: BC51-0000-0112-B30E

It's one of the best ones I've played, and one of those levels you wonder why it doesn't have more stars than it does. I've found a lot of good ones via the SMM website.

Oh, and another awesome one: 30BA-0000-01AC-511D

EDIT: If you want to try to get more stars, you might want to reconsider taking down under-preforming levels, tweaking them, then putting them back up. I used a rule of 1 star for every ten plays. I would toss the rule away when the level got to 10 stars.

That thwomp on the moving donut blocks is a bit too high. You can't see it coming at all. Rest of the level was cool, though.

What I've realized is that the game actually lets me keep my rank even when I take levels down. I don't lose the stars players gave me. So, I can kind of cheese it and use this opportunity to retweak my old levels now that I understand the mechanics of making a level a bit more. Pretty much redid the Flying Battery Zone homage and now I tidied up the SMW airship one as well. Hopefully doing this will boost me up to 50 and then I can just put everything up. I did clean up the Thwomp one too. Lowered quite a few Thwomps to be in sight and added a little semi-hidden area that would make the final section a lot more tolerable (plus it will make it a lot easier for me to upload).

Yep, you keep every star you're given.

I have two new levels in the works right now that I'm still slightly tweaking. One is a shooter level and the other is a really hard one. So, they both require a lot of testing and time to make them just right.

EDIT: And just in time for the weekend, I have uploaded them! Give 'em a go. Hopefully you won't hate me for Dangerous Dig.  ;)

Whoa, that was really cool. It's amazing how many unique levels are out there. A stoplight mechanic. Never would have thought of that.

Now if only Nintendo would put out some more themes and items...

Finally got a chance to play Mario Maker again, so I went back and edited/re-uploaded my levels to both fix bugs and make them more intuitive. I played some of your stages too, Nel. :)

Will check out more from both of you soon, but I'm too tired to continue at the moment.

I thought that was strange. It was pretty tough, but nowhere near your toughest.

But, I mean, I don't even have 100% completion on my level where you can't even die. If there's a way to fail to complete a level, someone out there will figure it out.
