Oh yeah, if we're counting the 2D games. NSMBWii is awesome.  :)

I would almost argue that it's the best 2D Mario game.

You could certainly make the case! It's right behind SMB3 and (technically) Yoshi's Island as my favorite.

I might make the case, but I always come back to SMB3 and SMW as my favorite 2D Mario games. I'm actually not totally sure why, though.

Also, I don't consider Yoshi's Island a Mario game, but I see your point. :P

It's a shame that MKWii sold laps around DD!! and Galaxy 2 combined. Blah.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

It also has to be factored in that DS and Wii WERE pack in games at one point.

But yeah, Galaxy 2 selling only slightly better than Sunshine? It deserves NSMB sales.

Some more for you guys.

Sunshine was the lowest selling Mario game of all-time, eh (as far as the big ones, IE non-spinoffs/remakes, are concerned)? You don't say.  :sly:

I actually do plan on giving that one another chance from start to (and hopefully) finish, possibly this summer. Need to get finish up 64 first, though, which is what I'm playing through right now.

You think that's weird?

WHY IS THERE A DROP OFF WITH DKC2?!? WHY DID MORE PEOPLE BUY DK64 THAN DKR OR DKC3 OUT AT THE SAME TIME?!?

Oh man!  :D

I think I can kinda explain that. At one point, DK64 was a pack-in title that came with the limited-edition Jungle Green colored N64 consoles. To wit:

I don't know how well these off-colored N64 models sold, but I suppose this could lead to one explanation as to why it sold many more copies. Either that, or people just didn't know what they were getting into when they bought it.  :P

Spark Of Spirit

Oh, I forgot about that! That would definitely explain why the game is looked down upon by Nintendo these days, if it was a pack in and only managed to sell to par/slightly better with other games in the series, that's not a good indicator of how well it did on its own.

But yeah, it's hard to pass up those banana-yellow carts. Having to make due with a banana wiimote holder for DKCR just wasn't the same!  ;D

Rosalinas Spare Wand

I've got one of those and its baller as fuck.

I'm surprised All-Stars SNES and 64DS sold that much as well. They were pack in games, but they weren't on the market for long. On the other hands, 64DS has been sold at retail long after the first version of the DS made its market debut. It's amazing how much longevity some of these titles have.

Spark Of Spirit

I'm a sucker for the see-through ones, too. I used to have the see-through GBA and it was sweet looking. Shame I had to trade it in for my SP.  :(

I have that exact color N64 (we originally got a plain black one, but it died out on us after only a few months, so we went out and bought this one instead), but DK64 didn't come with it by the time I got the system.

Oh, do you have a set for Metroid sales?
