I remember this game! My brother and I used to play it co-op all the time, and I didn't even realize that this game had stages until seeing this video! Well, that is to say that I thought that it just moved onto the next level without any notification, but that's not the case at all. The reason I didn't know that is because it was so hard for my brother and I at the time that we could never even make it past the first level! Damn, now I'm really interested in hitting this game up again and seeing if I can actually get to at least the 2nd level by myself.

Some of my most wanted retro games:
Saturn Bomberman
Strider 2
Tomba 2
Brave Fencer Musashi
Dino Crisis 1 and 2
Galerians
Any good Silent Hill
Out of this World
Plok
Rayman Gold
Megaman Legends
Castlevania Bloodlines

Mostly 2D games because I uh, well downloaded just about every 2D game I could think of.

Yeah, the Genesis game was sort of a co-op Contra style game. The SNES one was more of an adventure game. Both are well worth playing!

I just bought that Batman game.  Also got Lufia & The Fortress of Doom, Super Mario RPG, and Looney Tunes Sheep Raider(PS1).

Anyone here ever played or heard of Yu Yu Hakusho FINAL? According to this video, its apparently supposed to be a pretty good licensed fighting game in the vein of old-school fighters (being that it was released at the time of old-school fighters, obviously).

Sometime during the last two weeks I finally got past the first boss in Little Samson. I had no clue the game let's you switch between the 4 characters that. I thought the game was going to follow the some format the first stages have. Anyway, pleasant surprise. It opens up a lot of strategy. I do hate how everyone has the same theme music from their first level. That's kind of annoying and I'd rather hear regular level music instead of the same 4 themes. And the 2nd boss is a pain in the ass.

Are you playing it on normal or easy? The game actually plays quite a bit different in both difficulty levels.

I think between this and Gimmick I think these are the games that really pushed the NES to its limits. Just looking at the early NES games and then these, it's almost like a generation gap in difference.

I assume Normal since I hate Easy mode for all games not named Ninja Gaiden II. And yeah, the game has pretty impressive. It's surprising to see in-level character switching in a NES game.

Despite all my complaints, I've been having a good time with Little Samson. I just need to go back and die less.

Playing Ninja Gaiden 2 on Easy? Scrub detected. :sly:

What I like about Ninja Gaiden II's easy mode is that it's well made enough to go through. Just about every other game's easy mode is insulting. I think DMC1 made me give up on that (a fucking weak Reaper instead of a Shadow is coming out of that statue?! REALLY?!). I like to go through all difficulties modes in games but I'm not for ones that don't even try to challenge you.

You should also play Viewtiful Joe on Kids Mode the first time through as well.

Kids Mode is basically normal mode while, Adults is basically a hard mode that assumes you know how play the game.

The difficulty was really mislabeled on that one.

More like every time for me... Adults Mode is insane.
