Deadly Premonition. But pretty much everyone already knows how I feel about that game so I'll say a few more.

Killer7 (GameCube) - Fantastic game and it's what made me into a fan of Suda 51. The gameplay style may have not been for everyone but it was certainly one of the most unique games I've ever played. Arguably the most underrated game of the last gen.

Condemned: Criminal Origins (360) - I thought it was a great survival horror game. Mixing in elements of action gameplay while you searched for forensic evidence on the trail of the serial killer. It was some really quite cool. It's a shame the sequel had to the flush to story down the shitter with all the ridiculous plot twists. And it looks like we won't be seeing anything from this franchise again.

Bomberman Hero (N64) - This > Bomberman 64. I thought they did a great job translating Bomberman into the world of 3D platformers. The soundtrack was great too.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (Wii) - Best Silent Hill game after Silent Hill 3 (my favorite). I don't know what everyone else's experience was like, but I found the psychoanalysis aspect to actually be quite accurate. Silent Hill fans hate on this for "ruining" the Silent Hill canon (even though it's not connected with any of the other games). Of course Silent Hill fans seem to hate everything that isn't Silent Hill 2 so I don't really take them seriously. While we're at it: Silent Hill 4, Origins, and Homecoming were also underrated.

That's all for now. I'm tired.
Looking up videos for Bomberman Hero now.

Is the first Condemned really underrated? I've never met anyone who didn't like it. In fact, there are still quite a few people clamoring for a PC release of the sequel! As for Silent Hill: Homecoming, I, too, thought it was underrated... that is until I went out of my way to actually beat the damn thing. The second half of the game is terrible. That said, I agree with you in considering Silent Hill 3 to be the best one.

Anyway:

Fatal Frame 3 & 4 - The third one seems to generally be considered the worst in the series due to having slightly shoddier controls than the rest and more of a story focus. The latter of these elements actually elevates it, in my opinion. Not only was I scared by the game, the story really drew me in and intrigued me more than any of the other installments. As for 4, it's import-only. I really wish it wasn't, because it's just as terrifying as the other games AND it was made by Grasshopper!

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin - It's definitely not as good as the first one, but it's still a really awesome game. Not sure why so many people hate it.

Serious Sam 2 - The cutscenes and friendly NPCs make me gag on my own vomit, but the actual gameplay is still quite fun. It's still an all around good time, even if it's nothing compared to TFE, TSE, or BFE.

Ninja Gaiden 2 (360) - Normal mode isn't unfair you fucks, goddamn.

Ratchet: Deadlocked - Hey, at least it's better than Quest For Booty. The lack of platforming is bothersome, but the co-op is damn near unbeatable.

I really never understood most of the criticisms for this game, myself, aside from its short length. Its over in just 8 hours like very other FPS these days, sure, but it has replay value, and the actual campaign is certainly no less entertaining than any other high-profile shooter's campaign mode this gen (I like it better than any of the Call of Duty games, myself). I would say that this is probably either the 2nd or 3rd best FPS that I've played from this gen, personally.

Yeah, aside from a few hitches here and there (some sections of the game are admittedly poorly designed), it really isn't. I don't see what people were complaining about. Most of the time you could skillfully avoid enemy attacks, and even if you did get a cheap hit on you every now and then, it barely does that much damage to you on Normal mode (and even if it does the game is VERY generous with giving you a constant supply of healing items). Playing the game on Master Ninja mode can be rather aggravating, I'll admit (since I've played through the game numerous times by now), but anything up to Mentor difficulty is at least 90% fair game, and the cheap stuff are too few and far in between to really hamper the experience. I think people just don't like to admit when they suck at a game, this gen, so they end up blaming the game more than it deserves to be blamed.

Anybody else play the Pac-Man World games?

I bought the first 2 a long time ago and enjoyed the hell out of them. They were pretty linear platformers with an overworld, but Namco kept the game simple and didn't needlessly give Pac-Man too many new moves. They even turned the pellets and power ups into the equivalent of coins and starmen from the Super Mario series. The bosses were also fairly challenging, despite being based on the original ghosts.

Too bad the series didn't catch on too well, but it seems Pac-Man can never really break out of the old arcade maze niche he started in to begin with.

Spark Of Spirit

I've honestly never played a Pac-Man game beyond the original. So, I'm part of that problem.

In relation to Namco, has anyone ever played the Rolling Thunder games? I always enjoyed the idea of these games as spy games with cool shooting mechanics way before such things existed. Of course since they were only on the Genesis (beyond an unlicensed port of 1 for the NES) most gamers wouldn't play them if rereleased on the VC, but they were pretty freaking good.

I love me some Psychonauts and some Elite Beat Agents.

Psychonauts is a pretty well thought out game has some decent platforming in it and the writing is a hoot. Really my favorite level is the Edward Teglee mind in which his pain of being rejected by a girl he loved back in high school manifests himself in a form of a bull rampaging through a Spanish looking town or Fred's mind which is that of a board game called Waterloo where he has to face his ancestor Napoleon Bonaparte.

As for Elite Beat Agents, pretty great rhythm game and one of the few games that taught me not to judge a book by it's cover. Sure the song selection is questionable at best but making a rhythm game work on a DS screen was probably one of my favorite things about the DS.
