I honestly never had that much of a problem with the AI in RE5. I only played the game with the AI once but she never gave me that much trouble. I basically just gave her the handgun and the stun rod and forgot about her. I had to save her a few times but she actually saved my ass more.

Playing with another human though it just a much more enjoyable experience.

See, in my single-player game, I, personally, died once. 29 out of my 30 game overs were because Sheva would bum rush large groups of enemies with only the knife. Such bullshit. If the base game was even half as good as RE 4, I wouldn't have minded much, but 5 was a major step down in almost every regard.

From what I've heard, your AI partner(s) in RE 6 will not be able to die, run out of ammo, or kill enemies. Just like in Revelations.
What the hell at not being able to kill enemies. What are they good for? Cheerleading moves?

They're part of the story, but they let you do most of the fighting. As it should be in a single-player game.

Oh, and they can kill enemies, but it takes them something like 30 bullets when it would take you about 5.

I get the balance there. That's better.

Yeah. In all honesty, RE5 was virtually unplayable on single-player mode. Even when I first played the game, I found Sheva to be so annoying, to the point that I must've been blinded by hype considering I thought I loved the game at the time.

Really, RE5 must be played on multi-player, local or online.

So I'll say this: for a game I got for free, Operation: Raccoon City isn't that bad a game if you have some people to play it with. Now, I don't suggest spending money on it, let alone $60, but free isn't too bad.

So I'm playing RE5 again with a friend and I forgot just how stupid the story is and just how little sense it makes. Why is Chris in Africa again? What is he getting? Send what to HQ? Why did that computer chip thing even have a photo of Jill's face on it? What the fuck is going on?

Not to mention the areas you go to and how they're connected make no sense. I mean, in RE4, everything connected well You went from a village, to a castle, to an island base. In RE5 you go from a village, to some caves, to some random buildings, to gunning fucking zombies down on motorcycles, to marshlands, to a tribal village, to an oil field, to aztec mines--NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE. Why are these areas even connected to each other? How do Chris and Sheva know they're going to right way?

Yeah, I like RE5 on co-op, but it really is a very stupid game.

QuoteOn Digital Spy, there were reports about the alleged existence of "Resident Evil: Degeneration-Damnation-Downfall 3D". The title would appear at the end of this year and accordingly, it would contain Degeneration and Damnation in CG technology, and with the possibility of the Nintendo consoles you could see these two movies in 3D. Initial reports indicate that Downfall would be a new game that takes place between the events of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6. The player would control Claire Redfield who would witness the "downfall" of humanity. The information was quickly removed from the website and Capcom has not confirmed anything yet. E3 takes place during June 5-7. If Downfall is real, it would probably be officially announced then.

I took a look around on Digital Spy and the website seems to be a very reliable source for new info pertaining to movies, games, etc. I've asked Alyson twice, Digital Spy once, and Capcom once (all over Twitter), and none of them have responded to me.

Here's the link to the site. It's in Polish, so you'll have to translate before you read it! http://www.mwrc.pl/News/News.php

I hope it's more than a rumor... honestly, I wouldn't put it past Capcom to release four games from the same franchise in one year. I liked Revelations, but I hope Downfall is better. If it focuses on a single character, it probably won't have an identity crisis like that one did.

Spark Of Spirit

A sequel to Revelations already? I guess it must have done well after all.

I'm expecting a lot of E3 announcements for the little system. After all, the second E3 for the DS was pretty explosive, too.

This seems more like a 3 hour mini-game to me. A little something to justify putting the two CG movies on the 3DS.

That's probably a good thing, though. Revelations dragged on for too long because it meandered so much.

QuoteResident Evil 6 director Yoshiaki Hirabayashi has told 360 Magazine that his game's control system has changed greatly since Resident Evil 5′s action-heavy bombast.

Speaking on the balance between more slow-burning survival horror and immediate action in his upcoming title, he revealed that "we didn't want to make a straight up action-type control scheme for the game. We're still trying to make a horror experience."

"This is horror as entertainment. To that end I think it was necessary to open up the controls a little, make them smoother, so you could immerse yourself in this world more easily."

"But that doesn't mean you're going to lose control over the player in terms of how they experience this world we've created."

Hooray!

Oh, and

Quote>Leon's attitude is supposed to be VERY reminiscent of his Resident Evil 2 iteration, meaning his naive nature will slowly start to overshadow his burning desire to protect the people around him, from the decision of trusting Helena Harper. Leon also ignores Helena about the president's aide being infected showing further signs of how they are bringing back the naive traits. Another point they bring up is about Leon being in the toilet due to women and even liking the entire concept. This could come into play around the conclusion.

>Sherry Birkin will have some form of superhuman/regenerative abilities from her subdued G-virus strain however she will have a differing playstyle from Jake Muller altogether (All co-op partners will play with different styles perhaps? And take note Piers is a sniper so that part might be correct.)

The more I hear about RE6 the more excited I get. :happytime: Looks like it's going to blow RE5 clear out of the water.
