Yeah, I'm honestly only interested in the inclusion of the first 3 numbered games in the package. Otherwise there's no point to it, IMO.

Code Veronica HD (probably my least favorite RE game),

Thought you disliked 5? :P

What's Chronicles?
Rail shooters summarizing (poorly, for the most part) the first five games with some new (extremely dumb) scenarios. They're fun, but not necessarily good.

You know what? Remember how I said I'd just get a PS1 and then get the classic RE games? I just remembered that I also have my older brother's PS2 to use, and if I'm not mistaken, isn't that B/C with all PS1 games as it is? In other words, I should just be able to play the PS1 RE games on that, so that saves me the trouble of even having to buy a PS1 in the first place.

They should've released the old RE games on XLA, like they did with PSN.

Well they probably will push for it next gen. If Wii-U doesn't add Sega CD/32x, Dreamcast, and Gamecube to the Virtual Console I'll be very surprised.

I'm guessing there may have been some obscure legal issues with Capcom releasing those games on Microsoft's console or something of the sort. The games were obviously originally for the PS1, then they got shitty N64 and PC ports, then they got actual GOOD Nintendo ports but only after Capcom made an official agreement with Nintendo to be able to release those RE games for it. Maybe they have some agreement with Sony right now that doesn't allow them to re-release the classics for the XBOX360, as weird and obscure as that sounds. I mean, other than that, I can't think of any other reason Capcom would pass up a chance to re-release the classic RE's via XBLA in order to make some quick and easy cash, unless they are just that lazy that they don't want to bother porting it again.

talonmalon333

Oh man, N64 RE2...

All I can say for that port is... I'm impressed they managed to squeeze so much content into a single cartridge. .3.

Eddy

The N64 port of RE2 was an amazing feat of technology. How did they do that? Must have been black magic.

I'd also like to see the classic RE games re-released on XBLA. Mainly I want to see REmake released on XBLA in HD. I know they couldn't make it widescreen due to the static backgrounds but it would still be mouth watering in high definition.

REmake and RE0 deserve releases on consoles that don't just have "Nintendo" in their names.

Hey, Talon, what're the major differences between the first PS1 RE and director's cut. I was browsing around Game Stop today and found the first PS1 game for dirt cheap (the case was in decent condition, too, but of course the instruction manual is missing, not that I care), but of course it was the original version. Would it be better for me to just seek out Director's Cut as my first classic RE experience or will the original package suffice? Or rather, is it worth it to just wait until I find Director's Cut or should I go for the original if that's what's most readily available.

To put things into perspective, I would recommend someone pass up the original version of Ninja Gaiden in favor of waiting for a chance to find Ninja Gaiden Black or even Sigma, since while the original version is great its worth it to pick up the enhanced version as the first experience into the game since they are just that much better than the original package. However for something like Sega Soccer Slam where the XBOX version has extra content but someone found the GC version, I would recommend them to just pick it up anyways since the core game is still the same and its still a great experience without much difference. In that regard I'm wondering whether DC is a better first experience for the game or if I would be OK with the original.

Spark Of Spirit

I think Director's Cut has a quick turn button. that would be a major improvement.
