Well an initial overview of the first few chapters of Catching Fire seems a bit more promising. Emphasis on a bit.

Really though, I think THG/HP elitism over Twilight is almost like tumblr elitism over Facebook. They may be better, sure, but they still aren't all that special.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Tumblr seems pretty different from Facebook to me. Never used it before, but isn't it more of a blog thing than a social networking thing?

Yeah, though with more pictures.

Tumblr's a blogging site made primarily for fangirls and/or hipsters who think they're artists. A lot of the users hate that people on Facebook use a lot of memes from there... even though they stole most of them from 4Chan to begin with.

PART ONE: THE SPARK - CHAPTER ONE: The Winter of Our Discontent

There's a time jump here so basically this chapter is Katniss catching us up with what happened after Book I.

A few months have passed since the events of the Hunger Games and the Seam is in the middle of a terrible snow season. Katniss now lives a far more plush lifestyle along with Peeta in the Victor's Village, however she still maintains the old family farm, mainly out of the fact that she can't identify with the new house. Today is the day where the two of them leave for the Victory Tour, a PR campaign where the Capitol continues to stick their boot into the side of the districts. Its incredibly cruel for Katniss because District 12 has been on the losing end of the stick as long as she can remember so she's always hated the goody two-shoes Career tribunes who normally do this.

Since getting back, Katniss's attempts to reconnect with Gale have largely been met with failure as he's taken up a job in the mines and can only hunt on Sundays, but even then he's emotionally distant. This is in no doubt brought about by the media narrative that he is Katniss's cousin and Peeta is her true love. Speaking of Peetie, him and Katniss find it difficult to even look at each other now, no thanks to Katniss's bungled admission of Haymitch's ruse.

After selling some meat, and her daily ritual of attempting to sober up Haymtich, Katniss returns home only to find people from the Capitol are there an hour early. They're the people she doesn't want to see anymore... President Snow and his men. The shit is about to hit....again.

This was the moment where I realized that the villains had the logic of Power Rangers villains. And not even good Power Rangers villains like Venjix or Astronema.

Spark Of Spirit

So when do they bring in contestants to seek out and kill Katniss and Peeta?

CHAPTER TWO: Starring Down The Barrel

President Snow, as we all know by now isn't too pleased with Katniss. He knows she bullshitted her interview with Flickerman. He knows Gale isn't her cousin. And he knows a lot of things we don't know...

A: Head Gamemaker Seneca Crane, a character who is actually being mentioned here for the first time (they actually gave him a role in the movie), is dead. The President wasn't too pleased with his sudden bout with sentimentality.

B: The little stunt that Katniss and Peeta pulled at the end has caused uprisings in Districts 11 and 10. The Peacekeepers are losing control.

C: Katniss and Gale have been monitored for months. Snow knows what exactly what she is doing and can pump her full of led/turn her into an Avox whenever he chooses.

So Snow gives Katniss an ultimatum. Reassure the revolting Districts during the Victory Tour that she did what she did out of 100% irrational love for Peeta, and convince them of the Capitol's "charitable" nature or Gale gets his head chopped off. To make matters worse, Katniss notices something about Snow's breath... its smells like he uses mouthwash made out of blood.  :frown:

We should have a drinking game everytime Collins writes about how evil the Capitol is.
