the game's cancellation did come at the end of an unprecedented tussle on Twitter. GameTrailers host Marcus "AnnoyedGamer" Beer and Fish got into an argument after Beer called Fish a "hipster," a "tosspot," a "wanker" and a "fucking asshole" on yesterday's episode of Invisible Walls, a GameTrailers video podcast, after Fish refused to answer questions about Microsoft's decision to allow indie developers to self-publish on Xbox One. Fish then lashed out at Beer, claiming that the GameTrailers host had assassinated his character, telling Beer to "compare your life to mine and then kill yourself," and asking him to apologize on camera.

The argument culminated with Fish writing "im done. FEZ II is canceled. goodbye," and locking his Twitter account.

Marcus Beer is the hero video games need. This makes me want to support GameTrailers and Invisible Walls.

If anything, after hearing about FishGate, it made me wanted to hear what Marcus Beer said about BlowFish on Invisible Walls, so I ended up watching it and Mr. Beer actually said shit I agreed with about BlowFish. Especially with how those two seemed to dodge how the XBONE is handling Indie games, they are kind of the faces of Indie games, even if I can't stomach that thought fully.

To be honest, Marcus has always kind of been an ass-hole, himself. In this case he's definitely the lesser of two evils, though.

When Marcus lashes out with his opinions, it just ticks me off. Phil Fish is one of those few people who does it in a way that actually strikes a nerve with me and makes me want to tell the dude to shut his face up in person.
