Great that they pulled it and apologized, but this being Kotaku there's still no excuse for this happening in the first place. Mistaking a franchise game with it's earlier counterpart is as bush league as it gets. I really hope Kotaku starts seriously losing more and more money. There are tons of YouTube Let's Players with more credibility than these top game sites.

It was VG24/7, not Kotaku. But nearly all the top games sites are equally crap, so, yeah.

Kotaku has apparently been blacklisted by Bathsheba and Ubisoft of all people. Well, this is what happens when you leak game plot spoilers and alienate developers.

From my understanding, it was because Kotaku leaked info about unreleased games at the time. Bethesda it was Fallout 4 and Uibsoft an Assassin's Creed game. It's one thing to leak spoilers to a game, yet another thing all together to leak a game in development that you didn't want to announce yet. It's like that kid who tells you that Santa Claus isn't real, like.... why the hell did you have to ruin the magic?

But holy shit, that article Tortilla Chips wrote about being blacklisted by them is the most whiny thing I ever seen.
