Wonderful news, especially since I'm buying it for the Wii version and don't really care about the Wii U one at all. :)

They changed the controls in the Wii U version. It was built around the Wiimote and nunchuck combo which is apparently the best way to play it. NiGHTS meets Rocket Knight Adventures needs pointer controls to be accurate.

You have no idea how much I want them to make a Double Dragon IV and River City Ransom 2 after so many years of Million sitting on the licenses. The first technical beat em up and the first beat em up RPG deserve what Arc brings to the table.

Double Dragon Neon 2 when, I loved that entry.

So, the Gamergate debate with SPJ Airplay was today, and during the second half a SIXTH BOMB THREAT was called in to police, and the place had to be evacuated.

I don't care if it was an Anti-GGer or a troll, it has to be the same moron who did it to that meetup they tried to have. I hope they can get tracked down and brought to justice.

Hmm, news of a bomb threat would probably fit better in the other thread, wouldn't it? ;)

It would, just thought I'd mention it here since Gamergate doesn't bother me.

Just saw the message for my $20 XBL code that I got for free just from going to a random twitch stream. :shakeshakeshake:

That reminds me, I need to narrow down which game(s) I'll get and I need you guys help. I've been loving what I've seen of Final Fight and I hear it's arcade perfect + comes with another game so that might top my list. Also, Castlevania HD, Garou MOTW, Mega Man 10, Hard Corps Uprising, Fatal Fury Special, Castle Crashers, Alien Hominid, Streets Of Rage trilogy (I own all except 3 Japan, which might be enough for me) and a Contra or two are all looking good, off of the top of my head.

XBLA Contra games are the arcade games, not the NES ones. So be wary of that.

All those games are pretty great but personally I would put Hard Corps Uprising and Double Dragon Neon at the top of the list. SOTN you already know about, Garou is the best fighter on XBLA, Final Fight is tons of fun, Mega Man 10 is Mega Man, and the other games are really good, but my suggestions would be those two if you can manage them.

Thank you!

Ah, so the NES versions beat the arcade?

I really liked the demo to Neon. I wasn't impressed with Hard Corps demo years ago the one or so times I tried it but I've been meaning to replay the demo so I'll do that to rethink purchasing it. Mega Man 10 is a bit tempting because if I get it then I'll own every single original series Mega Man on one console. Also, Samurai Shodown II looks good. Decisions decisions.

Yes, the arcade versions of Contra and Super C aren't as good as the NES versions.

Keep in mind with Uprising that the first level is not the best level in the game and Arcade Mode is not the best way to first start playing the game. Rising Mode lets you unlock new abilities and weapons which allows you to wrap your head around everything much easier. The more you play the game the more you unlock and the more you understand the game and get better at it.

Is Mega Man 8 on XBLA? I must have missed that release.

Mega Man Anniversary Collection for Xbox, which works perfectly on Xbox 360, has the first original series 8 + the two Power Fighter games, which I personally love. Thank you, corner pawn shop from years ago!

I assumed the arcade versions were better but I kind of remember you saying otherwise. I really did like what I saw of Super C in a stream and it is really cheap, price wise.

I see, that sounds pretty cool.
