Hey guys, what about Waluigi?  :awesome:
Don't forget Bowser Jr!

Hey, while they're at it, they can give him FLUDD!  :humhumhum:

Rosalinas Spare Wand

Aww sweet, is it dream roster time?

Super Mario Bros
Bowser Jr: he's made enough appearances to be a reoccuring character, and unlike most of the villains, he gets new weapons and tactics every single time. I could totally see him playable with his brush from Sunshine, his clown car from NSMB, and his mechas from Galaxy. He honestly has the potential to be one of the funnest characters in the series
Rosalina: This is just a personal pick, but she's pretty popular and she's given a few differences in the Mario Sports games to work. Make her floaty with heavy attacks like Lucario, with psychic-like abilities like Mewtwo. Not to mention the Lumas would probably play a part in her moves.

Legend of Zelda
Ghiharim: Because he's FAAAAAABULOUS as fuck. He's also one of the few Zelda villains that would lend well to this environment.

Metroid
Dark Samus: She may look like Samus, but she's got entirely different properties and attacks. Only problem is that she's a Prime-only character and a pretty forgettable one at that. It's either her, or one of the random mercenaries from Hunters or Corruption.
I can also see Adam as an Assist Trophy. He can block your moves by not authorizing access to them  :P.

Donkey Kong
King K. Rool: Long overdue dammit. He's the big bad and his gimmicks lend him a huge arsenal for a moveset. Plus being able to fight on Gangplank Galleon or his Airship would be so sweet.
Dixie Kong: She was close, and she would've probably fared well in Brawl with her twirling ability. They could even lend her some of Tiny Kong's moves if they need to flesh her out more.

F-Zero
So many people they could choose from. Samurai Goroh, Black Shadow, Zoda, maybe even Mr. Arrow. F-Zero has a huge cast and they're wasting them by leaving Falcon as the only playable character.

I could think of some more, but I'm too lazy to type them all out right now. Maybe later.

Spark Of Spirit

I think Dixie was in the Brawl data with Plusal & Minun (Pichu's obvious replacements), Roy, and Mewtwo. I'd say she's a lock for the next one. But it's not like DKCR really introduced any new characters you'd want to play as, either.

Awwww what?

I don't know why, but that would've been sweet (use them both as two fighters, similar to Nana and Popo). Too bad they didn't make the cut.

Rynnec

They would have been good Gen 3 reps too (that Generation was sorely underrepresented in Brawl).

Yeah, they didn't make the cut. But if Melee and Brawl are anything to go by, the first new characters to make it in will be the ones that didn't get finished for the previous game.

I think the Ice Climber concept would go well with other characters, if they looked into it more.

Daxdiv

You know they'll have to put in a Generation V monster in there. I see it being Zoroark since he does have a good gimmick of creating illusions. Provided it's him that turns into stuff.

Really as far as fighters go I just want Little Mac, Mike Jones, and maybe Ashley from WarioWare. I'll be set. As for fighters to keep, please keep in Lucas & Red. Red is my favorite character play as whenever I go back to Brawl, I just love using Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard. As for Lucas, obviously it's just to have another character from Mother in the games that isn't Ness.

Also, I do wonder if they can make a stage bigger than New Pork City? What Nintendo place is big enough to replace THAT?

Spark Of Spirit

I was actually hoping for a Mother 1 remake so we could get Ninten in as well. Then the fourth could be one of the villains.

... And a Buzz Buzz assist trophy.

-Midna
-Zant
-Ghiram
-Vaati
Quote from: SparkThat's a lot, but I think Vaati is the most likely. And the most underrated.

I was somewhat reluctant adding Zant there, I wouldn't mind him getting in, but there are others I'd rather have over him.

Quote from: Rynnec on April 28, 2012, 10:06:47 PMFire Emblem
-Lyn
-Black Knight (either boss-only, or playable)
Quote from: SparkI'd like to see an archer, an axe wielder or a mage of some type. Ike is different enough to Marth, but I'd like even more of a difference.

Thought about Hector too. He's an axe user, so he'd definitely bring something new to the table.

Quote from: Rynnec on April 28, 2012, 10:06:47 PMKid Icarus
-Magnius(sp?)

Haven't played Uprising yet, so I wouldn't really know any of the new characters except Magnius
Quote from: SparkYou're in for a treat. *SPOILERS FOR KI:UPRISING!*

Pretty much any character works as a fighter. Magnus, Palutena, Pyrron, and Hades (if he had a victory taunt against every character, that would be amazing) would all work really well.

Great to know. ;D I'll be suprised if we don't see at least to of these characters in then.

You know it!   :light:

Quote from: Rynnec on April 28, 2012, 10:06:47 PMF-Zero
-Black Shadow
He could have taken Ganondorf's moveset easily. The only other clone that would work. But there is quite a large F-Zero cast, it needs more characters. Captain Falcon is in the original 10, for cryin' out loud!![/quote]

While I don't mind Ganondorf being a clone (just as long as he can use his sword as a weapon that he whips out via his taunt, like what Brawl should have done. That being said, Black Shadow would make a natural CF clone.

Quote from: Rynnec on April 28, 2012, 10:06:47 PMPokemon Trainer
-5th Gen Pokemon Trainer (Preferably Hilda, though Hilber can get in as a reskinned pallete swap)
-Leaf (Reskin of Red)
Quote from: SparkPokemon Trainer was the best idea for a character in Brawl. They should have called him Red/Blue, though. It makes adding new characters in the style easier.

Hopefully they'll give them their official names this time. Speaking of Leaf, they can move Jigglypuff into her team.

Quote from: Rynnec on April 28, 2012, 10:06:47 PMMetroid
-Rundas
-Sylux
-Ridley if able to scale him down enough (and for the love of Arceus, don't make him look like he did in Melee's intro)
Quote from: SparkAnthony Higgs?  ;)

"Remembuh me?" :happytime:

Anthony can be an Assist Trophy (he shoots his plasma cannon three times at any nearby enemy while saying several quips)

Quote from: Rynnec on April 28, 2012, 10:06:47 PMKirby
-Galacta Knight (if not able to differentiate enough from Meta Knight, then make him boss-only)
Quote from: SparkIf RTDL is any indication, Waddle Dee (with Spear) is a lock. I personally want Knuckle Joe.

If we're talking the assist characters from Super Star, then Bio-Spark would be my personal choice. And yes, Spear Waddle Dee would be the best thing ever.

Quote from: Rynnec on April 28, 2012, 10:06:47 PMThird Party
-Bomberman
-Simon or Soma (all of the games he's in, sans Harmony of Despair, have been Nintendo Exclusive)
-Black Mage
Quote from: SparkBomberman is a good pick. He also has the easiest moveset to think up.

Heck, he has potential for a more varied moveset than people think. You can have him use Bomber Jet and Bomber Copter from Hero, the Elemental Bombs from The Second Attack,. Those two things alone can make him a rather versatile character.

And if any FF character needs to get reperesented, it's either Black Mage, or Cecil. Screw Cloud and Squall.

QuoteI think I may have more ideas, but these are all just off the top of my head.
Quote from: Spark of SpiritI can add some.

Punch Out!
Little Mac
Mr. Dream (Boss)

StarTropics
Mike Jones
Zoda (Boss)

Starfy
Starfy

Wario
Kat & Ana (Sort of like a ninja Ice Climbers)
Captain Syrup
Mona (Since she's pretty iconic with WarioWare)

Mostly I'd be happy with the assist trophy characters getting the upgrade.

Though I'm not too familiar with any of the characters you listed (other than Little Mac), I'd add Ashley too, if only because we got her theme.

Adding any of those characters would create more exposure and awareness for otherwise long forgotten Nintendo properties, so I'd be all for it.

Eddy

I personally think most of the "clones" are fine the way they are, really. On paper Ness and Lucas seem the same but the two of them actually play very differently from each other. Same with Link and Toon Link and the Star Fox guys.

gunswordfist

Rayman would be perfect for this game. Windup punch, helicopter hair, they gave him a kick move in his last game.

Mostly I want Mike Jones because he's the last "big surprise" character Sakurai could possibly add. There are no other classic Nintendo franchises that would be as welcome for a revival. StarTropics is also the only series to not have any representation in Smash Bros. so far. It's due.

EDIT: Actually, here's an old video of what he could possibly look like in Smash Bros. if updated. Yeah, it's a hack, but it looks pretty close.

Also, the music could be punched up to sound something like this which would be sweet.

Well, Ness and Lucas aren't really clones in the traditional sense. Other than having similar B-moves, all their other moves are different enough. Personally, I just want a Mother character that uses different moves. Like Jeff with his bottle rockets, laser guns, and potential to be different enough from either Ness or Lucas. I also wouldn't mind Teddy or Masked Man.

Compared with Luigi, Roy, Pichu, or Ganondorf, they aren't quite as close. Luigi is fine as is, though.

Dr. Ensatsu-ken

I still say that classic NES Ryu would fit perfectly into the SSB line-up, but I would assume that Nintendo wants nothing to do with anything NG-related after how hard the most recent game bombed. :(

I also always thought it would be cool to see 8-bit NES Mega Man in an SSB game, but seeing as how Capcom wouldn't even put him in their own crossover game, MVC3, its safe to assume that the character is now dead in general.

gunswordfist

Ah sweet, Ninja Gaiden 3 bombed. Not so sweet: little to no chance of Proto Man ever being in a Mega Man game. Is Knuckles is Brawl? He's kind of an obvious character for the game.

Eddy

I guess here's who I would want added! This is assuming everyone from Brawl returns.

Super Mario Bros.
Geno
Fawful
Rosalina
Waluigi (shut up, I love Waluigi because he's worthless)

Donkey Kong
Dixie Kong

Metroid
Ridley

Star Fox
Krystal (based on Star Fox Adventures)

Pokemon
Female Pokemon Trainer (with Snivy, Samurott, and Emboar)
Mewtwo
Scyther

Kirby
Waddle Dee

EathBound/MOTHER
Jeff
Kumatora

Other
Little Mac
Isa Jo (Sin & Punishment 2)
Mike Jones
Stafy

Third Party
Mega Man
Bomberman
Travis Touchdown (Suda has flat out said he wants Travis in SSB and there's really no reason he can't be as long as they tone down his language)
Knuckles

There's probably others I want but my mind is drawing a blank right now.
