While the price has gone down, I personally think that owning a Vita demands people to be made of money (dem memory cards!) But I have a thing about dropping too much money into a handheld. Especially one with a somewhat questionable shelf life.

I forget, is the XBOX ONE still not backwards compatible, and does it still block used games? Because, if so, then I hope it fucking burns in hell. I'm not a Sony fan by any means, but I'd still rather get a PS4 than an XBOX ONE. And I say this as someone who genuinely prefers the XBOX360 over the PS3, and who doesn't care for most of Sony's exclusives.

Which....isn't really saying much, IMO. Even this generation, I'm struggling to find more than just two games that even manage to pique my interest, let alone any single game that's convincing enough to buy a new console for.

It doesn't block used games, and it's not backwards compatible.  Only Nintendo is still playing the BC game this gen, although Sony is coming out with something that'll allow you to "stream" previous PS titles.
