In that vein (yes, I know it's a humorous post, but still), I'm actually envious of my dad getting to grow up in the era he did. Born in 1950, he was a teenager while the Beatles exploded in popularity and in his 20s when all the great stuff in the 1970s came out. Granted, I don't have to wait for any of those releases, but I would have loved to have been around for the experience of discovering that stuff as it came out.
