Hunter X Hunter (This is still my favorite version of the anime, and its a great twist on standard shonen formulas)
Ouran High School Host Club (One of the few comedy anime that actually somehow worked for me)
Legend of the Galactic Heroes (Yeah, I know, I know....I've only seen the first 17 episodes and its good, but kind of slow)
Crest of the Stars (I haven't seen it)

Legend of the Galactic Heroes: If there ever was an animated series that deserved to be classified as an epic, it's this one. Yes, it's slow at times (especially in the beginning), but damn if it isn't ultimately rewarding.
Hunter X Hunter: Splendid shonen.

Yeah, I'm sure LOTGH gets all sorts of amazing as it goes along. I'll watch the series in its entirety eventually. I just have to admit that the first quarter or so of the show takes its own sweet time and it takes a bit for me to motivate myself to keep watching, despite liking most of what I'm seeing, even if it probably does get addictingly good later on.
