#1230
Finally have 1/5th of my final set list for the top 500, and gathered the cover art for all the singles #1-100. 400 left (and, Type O Negative will be in the total list twice). It is freaking insane how long ordering them around takes... and today I just re-ordered my already stoned 100. Of course, in doing that, I wound up kicking a few off and replacing them. Hell, I probably spent 40 minutes just deciding how high the highest Madonna should chart. It didn't take 1 minute to decide what #11 would be. And then... I actually went on an insane search for a single cover for my #31 that took me almost half an hour. I ended up literally melding 2 pics together (one was just the CD, the other was the same color and font as the cover and I detest single covers that are taken from the same photo shoot as the album cover: I'm looking at you, Jay-Z). I think the total count of singles for the artist who made my top 100 the most times is 6.

Right now, I'm headed off to negotiate the other lists... even though I really should eat something, my stomach is growling like a monster (but this is how obsessive I am about these things). Sheryl Crow is playing now.
Well, I got so burned out on the road
Too many fags, too much blow
And then Mick and I split up and I said,
"Kid, it's time to take a little bit of a hiatus."
So I got myself a gig at the coffee shop
and I love it.
Why don't you take that corner booth,
I'll take your order in a minute...

Listening to some Johnny Cash.

Lucinda Williams- "Crescent City"

See, I like country.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

I said the same thing when I was listening to "Rosa Parks."

Going through #101-200. Been at it since 9 am now but I'm getting pretty close. The middle takes the longest. Type O Negative's highest ranking song kept getting bumped higher until... it wound up in the top 100.

I haven't been wanting to say who I've been listening to as to keep some surprise of who made it and who didn't (because I'm thinking of debuting the finished list here, if there's any interest- though I admit I don't mind using this thread as a kind of Twitter for random updates) but... "Cannonball" is playing right now. It's no secret, that song is on everyone's list (with good reason, of course).
