It's been so long since I heard it but, it clearly doesn't have the same moodiness and atmosphere of TON's cover.
Well, I got so burned out on the road
Too many fags, too much blow
And then Mick and I split up and I said,
"Kid, it's time to take a little bit of a hiatus."
So I got myself a gig at the coffee shop
and I love it.
Why don't you take that corner booth,
I'll take your order in a minute...

Playing around with my 90's playlist. Just for fun, getting some more songs. Things just jumping in my head. (This whole started really because I like to play 90's video games to songs from the decade.)

For example, playing right now is Brandy's "Top of the World." I haven't heard that song in over 14 years. Not a great song but it's always nice to hear a song again after it's been so long. And, it's not really bad by any measure. Incredibly routine. And, speaking of forgotten lite jams... now a replay of Monica's "Angel of Mine" is inevitable. But I'm not going after "Gone Til November." Never liked that one. Next on the list is Flipmode Squad - "Cha Cha Cha."

Update: Now I'm listening to Monica's Space Jam ballad, "For You I Will." I never knew she wanted to be Michael Jackson.

The Cult- "Fire Woman"

Obvious reasons.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Blaze Bayley- "While You Were Gone"

Any argument that the guy can't sing should be shattered whenever this song is played.

K's Choice - "I Smoke a Lot"

(I was going to try and tie this one in with #5 in the Song Titles Game thread but I couldn't find proof that it was a single, even though it spawned a music video.)

Also, on same note: Ben Lee - "Cigarettes Will Kill You"

Demi Lovato- "Heart Attack"

This actually came out a week earlier than it was supposed to, but it's already #1 in at least 9 different countries right now, including the US. The opening is kinda weak, but the song picks up almost immediately after, even if I can't say that it's a favorite yet. The use of guitar is very welcome, and Demi's voice is as strong as ever.

We'll probably get the video on the 4th, which is when we were supposed to get the song itself. I'll post it when it comes out to get a reaction from you guys, if you care.

Commode

"Driven Under" - Seether.

Reminds me of high school, same with the song "Cold" by Crossfade, a song I listened to the other day for the first time since then.
It doesn't matter what you say, soon you'll be dead anyway.

Fleetwood Mac- "I'm So Afraid"

See, I can listen to more than just Demi. :P

Collective Soul - "Where the River Flows"

Foggle

Been listening to a lot of Jabberloop recently. Truly excellent jazz/fusion group from Japan. Mighty disappointed that they haven't released a new album since 2010.

Linkin Park - "Breaking the Habit"

This is probably the only Linkin Park song that I actually kinda like. Well, I dunno... "like" might be a little much. It's okay.
