I don't even know. It mostly plays stuff like Roy Orbison, CCR and ABBA, but occasionally they'll pull that shit on.

The other one I mentioned is more trendy than classic/current, I guess. They can go from Journey one second to Lady Gaga to 90's Green Day to Madonna to Black Eye Peas in the course of a half hour. That's just weird imo.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

I can't stomach alternative station, either. It's always some lame and bland Nickleback clone and generic modern rock. They don't play real alternative, just music with distortion.

Here's a playlist for the local modern rock station in Boise.  Is any of that music on the list any good?  You tell me, because I ain't gonna bother looking at it, I know that at least 98% of it is shit, if not the whole thing.

Yep, gotta love modern rock.

I like Monster Magnet, but I'm not familiar with the new album.

I saw Three Day Grace and closed the window.

That's all I need to know.

I like Cage The Elephant's first CD, but their new album (which Shake Me Down is from) is complete shit.

The rest of that playlist gargles horse nutsack.

Find me a station that actually plays funk rock or psychobilly and maybe I'll start listening to the radio. But probably not.

Check your PMs if you like rockabilly and ska.  ;)

I've given up long ago and radio and the North American music industry. I just go where I think I'll find something I like and go off similar styles until I find something I might enjoy.

I do like just about anything, but for some reason the industry just has horrible taste in deciding what is worth marketing or not.

That's why SSPU is supporting Muse, instead of it being the other way around. And why it's not so easy to find great new stuff on the radio anymore.

Anyway, I'm listening to two Jews do poetic folk rock about girls and shit. I forget their names, though.

Have you ever heard Tripping Daisy? Before their guitarist died and they split off to do the Polyphonic Spree (whole other style of music and all), they were an excellent alternative rock band.

Their best album (Jesus Hits Like The Atom Bomb) came out the same year Limp Bizkit hit it big and the record company refused to advertise it because it wasn't angry enough.

I defy you to listen to Field Day Jitters and tell me any other song released in 1998 (especially on the radio) is anywhere near as good as that song.

Actually, here is the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yV_ECQiwJBE

The album's out of print so no one's making money off of it, anyway.

I don't even remember what came out in 1998, but that's a damn cool song.

She said 'Can I see you later?
And love you just a little more?'

and have you home by five!'

Dire Straits- "Money for Nothing"

Been on an kick with these guys lately, as well as a few other old acts. Yeah, I guess I do mostly listen to old people music.

Alchemy's a great album; nice long guitar solos.
