Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Lord Dalek

Child is Father to the Man. One of the greatest and most under-appreciated debut albums of all time.

This.

Well that wholly mediocre. Just like the rest of Mick's solo career.

Diamond Head- "Sucking My Love"

Every thrash band to ever form has stolen from this album, yet it still feels fresher than the vast majority of its imitators.

For Davy Jones

And yes, they played all the instruments on that great album.

Galactic - Out In The Street

Not too impressed by the new album to be honest, but this song is absolutely wonderful.

Huey Lewis and the News- "The Power of Love"

Have I mentioned that I consider this to be the best song ever written for a film?

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Call Me The Breeze

I think I like this better than Freebird. Must be the tempo.

Commode

I agree with you.  I'll give it a listen every once in a while, but there's many songs(Workin' For the MCA, Don't Ask Me No Questions, Saturday Night Special, You Got That Right) that I prefer to it.  It's like Stairway, it's a good song, but I'd rather listen to other Zep songs before it.

Was always more of a Tuesday's Gone kind of guy anyway.
It doesn't matter what you say, soon you'll be dead anyway.

Pronounced is brilliant, but Second Helping is almost as awesome. Every song on each is just so great, and while I give the edge to Pronounced, I think Second Helping has the better closer.

I wouldn't call Freebird overrated or anything but on a casual listening basis it just isn't as punchy as Call Me The Breeze.

Spinning Montrose's first album in tribute to Ronnie. It's pretty close to perfect for what it is.

New York Dolls - Lookin' For A Kiss

"If there's one reason I'm telling you this,
I feel bad, bad bad...
I'm lookin' for a kiss."
*cue awesome riff*

Every time I hear this song it seems like there's a lot more to the lyrics than we are lead to believe. the imagery, the narrator's reactions, how the song is the only one in their catalog dead centered on the lyrics... it seems like a reminder that there is more to life than excess and that the narrator even knows this but mistakes what he's really looking for. If you really read his words and the way he wrote them. Of course this could be over-analyzation of lyrics, but its their only song like this (focused more on the lyrics and energy than anything else in the music) even the first spoken line he specifically says "Luv" and not "Love"... Call me crazy, but that's just how it comes off to me.
