I sincerely think this one song is better than Joy Division's entire discography. The rest of NO's run can't compete otherwise though.

Johnny Cash- "Hurt"

I'm honestly not as crazy on this as everyone else is. Cash's performance is great, but I just hate the original version so much, and think that the lyrics are absolutely dreadful, that I can't appreciate it as much as I should. It is objectively a good cover though.

"Trent Reznor" and "good lyrics" are not typically something that go together.

Personally, I like the cover for the emotion he puts out and little else. I don't like the original either.

Not pop in any sense at all, but whatever. This is probably my favorite type of music there is, but few were able to do it better than Pete.
