Electric Six - Gay Bar [Japanese Radio Edit]

Never heard this version before. Pretty awesome actually... it's a re-recording of the song and honestly sounds a lot better than the original. Also, "let's do a radio edit! we're doing a radio edit! at the gay bar!".

EDIT: Never mind, my rip of Fire was a really shitty ol' thing I did with WMP back in the day... it's not a re-recording at all. Actual CD version sounds the same.

So I have $6 of Amazon MP3 credit which I completely forgot about that expires today. What music should I buy?

Spark Of Spirit

Get the song 'Open Minded' by The W's...

Since that's the song I'm currently listening to.  :P

High on Fire!

I have "Jack's Lament" on, but I need more HOF fans on here. ;)
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Really digging that song Spark, thanks for the rec. The W's seem like a great band.

High on Fire!
I'm listening to some of the samples from De Vermis Mysteriis... doesn't really sound like my kind of music. :-[ Do you have anything less hard for me?

Mercyful Fate- "At the Sound of the Demon Bell"

Perfect song for tonight.

Steve Miller Band - "Jet Airliner".

The song reminds me of my childhood visits to Reno, not really sure why.  Steely Dan's "Do it Again" is the same way.
It doesn't matter what you say, soon you'll be dead anyway.

The White Stripes- "The Union Forever"

Okay, I kinda like this one. Especially the intro.

Rihanna's latest, "Diamonds."

Bland and dull, to the extreme. I hope this isn't representative of the new album's sound. (That's right, folks... she's got another new album coming out in 2 weeks.)

Uh, yeah, I like this one. Don't hate.  :thinkin:
I like it.

Say what you will about the rest of their stuff, but this song kicks all sorts of ass.
Duran Duran is awesome. :thinkin:
Agreed.
Well, I got so burned out on the road
Too many fags, too much blow
And then Mick and I split up and I said,
"Kid, it's time to take a little bit of a hiatus."
So I got myself a gig at the coffee shop
and I love it.
Why don't you take that corner booth,
I'll take your order in a minute...

It's that time of year again, huh? Rihanna seems to put out an album by the end of every year it seems.

Every November since '09. Which makes this her 7th.

I'm a little disappointed that Talk That Talk went the way it did. That she trailed it off with 2 lousy, promotion-less (and video-less) singles. "Remixed" (aka: extended, with rap verses added- one of them by... none other than the guy who beat the shit out of her in spring 2009). Instead of releasing her interesting songs as singles ("Watch 'n Learn" and "Drunk on Love"), she released... "Cockiness" and "Birthday Cake." The 2 worst songs on the album. And a crappy Jay-Z double-teamer, "Talk That Talk," also with no promotion and no video (it should've been with Kanye!). She could have drummed up interest for the (admittedly terrible) album by releasing the 5 decent songs as singles rather than 3 + 3, 3 of the best and 3 of the worst.
