Kinda doin' a really short down-the-decades music-thon. Just 3 or so songs per decade. Whatever occurs to me (for whatever reason, this was the 80's: "Greatest Love of All," "Doctor! Doctor!", and "Master and Servant").

And, by chance, I decided to re-listen to "Smells Like Teen Spirit" for the first time in well over a decade. I think it was like 1998 when I actually last heard the entire song, and... it really is awful, isn't it? Yet, I still think the band's other major singles were phenomenal. I really think this song was made "legendary" by the music video, which is great. But... so was "Heart Shaped Box," which was a lot more gut-wrenching a song.

It's been so long that I played their first album, that I forgot that they had a song that shares the same name as the band. I always thought that they were named after the Motorhead song and album, but this doesn't sound anything like that one at all.
