If I did that with AC/DC, I'd have one hell of a long list.  I own every AC/DC album, and I can count on both hands how many songs I still regularly listen to by them.

I think they peaked with Let There Be Rock to Highway to Hell. Those three albums contain their highest amount of memorable songs and a lot of the band's best performances, way above their earlier stuff.

Back in Black still has some strong performances, but that's the last album I'd even consider playing all the way through.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Agreed. Overall, AC/DC repeated themselves way too much, but Back In Black had the most memorable tunes. Everything after that was just them trying to catch lightning twice, and failing.

Spark Of Spirit

Jars Of Clay - Disappear

You know I'm not all that big on Christian music for being so obvious with their lyrics, but man these guys are so good both sonically and lyrically.

Genesis - "Land of Confusion"

Youtube comments, man. Shouldn't even take three guesses as to where I'm going on this.

Are Disturbed still a thing?

No-Personality

The appropriate Goonies quote for this occasion.

Anyway, I'm actually hopping in the way-back machine... to... not the 90's... not the 80's... The... 70's! Yep, it's about time to do my Top 100 Singles of the...70's list. I'm screening right now and have culled a list from various Top 100 of each year list. I'm currently weeding through singles specifically by Ohio Players, O'Jays, Cher, Jethro Tull, Abba, Stevie Wonder, Heart, Evelyn "Champagne" King, Kansas, Steve Miller Band, Fleetwood Mac, Helen Reddy, and Elton John.

I guess I need more work...  ;D
Well, I got so burned out on the road
Too many fags, too much blow
And then Mick and I split up and I said,
"Kid, it's time to take a little bit of a hiatus."
So I got myself a gig at the coffee shop
and I love it.
Why don't you take that corner booth,
I'll take your order in a minute...

Apparently they went on "indefinite hiatus" two years ago.

So... no, actually.

Nel_Annette

Given how uninspired the majority of Asylum was, it was probably for the best.

And Genesis is awesome. Unless it's the Abacab album.  :thinkin:

Hmm. Well, Disturbed were one of the last of the nu metal acts to still be around with some amount of success, so I'm not too surprised that they took a step or two back.

I'm not calling them out yet, though. If Fall Out Boy can come back from their "indefinite hiatus" despite a long history of the band proving this to be highly unlikely, we haven't seen the rest of Draiman and group just yet.

I think he put them on hiatus because he didn't like what's going on in the industry right now and wants to take a "wait and see" approach.

At the very least, Draiman's got a side band keeping him busy right now. I haven't any interest in it, but they wouldn't shut up about it on their Facebook page a month or two back.

Speaking of nu metal, did you know that Limp Bizkit are on Young Money now?

As if you needed more reason to hate that label.

It's okay, I don't even know what that is.

Talk about acts "still being a thing".

Limp Bizkit... good lord, why.  :shit:
