The problem with my lab top is that it's not a good model. There's little room inside it for heat to move.

When do you think you might be going into this?
I'm not sure. Apparently FUNi will call or email me when they're holding this year's open auditions, then I'll drive up to Fort Worth. That is, unless they've already held their auditions for this year, in which case I'll have to wait until 2014. :(

I didn't realise you had aspirations of becoming a V/A, Foggle. Hey, if the opportunity is there to show off your talents, go for it! Seems like it could be a fun profession to get into. Get your foot in the door and be noticed! ;)

Regarding posts here with people having overheating issues with their computers: If it's been as hot and humid in your areas as it has with me, it's not overly surprising. I find in order to kill two birds with one stone, set up your favorite electric fan so it circulates air on both you and your computer. It helps for me. And every lil bit helps.

Damn cat fur tends to be my biggest problem with plugging up my comp's fans and vents.
Cats shouldn't be allowed to grow fur. Dogs either. It should be illegal. =P

So at the music venue I work for, the Zelda Symphony of the Goddess orchestra performed. I managed to see about half of it. Wasn't particularly interested, I must admit. I was just more interested in working the front gate as usual, partially cause it is fun greeting all the cosplays.

Just a quick heads-up, everybody:

Starting today, Silverstar and I are allowing readers to post comments on our blog again. The only catch is that all comments have to be approved before they'll be published. We know you guys are cool. It's just a precaution to discourage spammers and trolls from commenting.
The Star Twins + cartoons + geek speak =Twinsanity!

Foggle

We have to use a comment approval system as well. Not due to trolls, but because we get 20-30 spam bot posts per day. Crazy stuff.

Well, about to finish my summer session of math tutoring work next week. Then a week and half out til that starts off again for the fall term. Still on job search for actual fulltime job (so hard finding geography/IT work nearby).

Tomorrow, me and my brother and a friend of mine are driving to nearest FYE (in Douglasville) as they got an anime sale (Buy 1, Get Another 50% off) along with a trivia contest and costume contest. I have too much dignity so its just the trivia contest for me.

Oh my god, I just asked out a girl I've had a crush on for years... and she has not responded yet. Feelin' sick to my fucking stomach. Hold me, AR... hold... me...

She said no, but it was probably the nicest I've ever been turned down by a woman. We're still on good terms, but at least I know now and can move on.

So basically, I'm relieved. But lord she has such a great personality. And she looks pretty rockin' when she dyes her hair blond too. Oh well. I need to get over my fear of rejection already and I think this was a healthy first step.

Spark Of Spirit

Ah, well. Sorry to hear that.

Good on you for trying, though.

Sorry man. Glad to hear you're still friends, though!

Nel_Annette

 :)

Thanks peeps. Don't worry about me. I'm a grown-ass man, and I've gone through dozens of rejections and can take it. But this was one of those high-tier crushes, if you get what I'm saying. There's girls that you like and can just ask out any time without any nervousness and there's "OMG I WANT HER I NEED HER SHE'S PERFECT" girls that make you stop mid-sentence whenever they show up.

But I do have this severe aversion to the idea of those particular rejections that I need to work on.

Avaitor

Rejection does suck, but at least you two are still on good terns, It would be far worse if you weren't.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, I too got rejected by a girl I was clicking with, but she also was nice about it. Heck, I'm friends with both her and her fiance, and got invited to their wedding. Which is next month. :)

Rejection really isn't a big deal at all. As long as they're not laughing in your face or putting you down, you shouldn't hide how you feel from them. That being said, there's a couple of girls in my church I've been getting to hang with a little bit when our group has had some events. There's quite a bit more coming up which I'm hoping to go to.
