Same as VlordGTZ and Foggle! But I'll write it out anyway...

20th Century Boys - Not even a third way done with the story, and it's already becoming one of my favorite manga. Urasawa really is a master story teller!   :shakeshakeshake:
Akira - A masterpiece in terms of storytelling and artistic detail in comics...but I don't like the characters all that much. Which is why 20th, with it's great and memorable characters, wins out for me.  ;)
Slam Dunk - Basketball has never been more interesting, epic, and cool in fiction.  8)
Ode to Kirihito - I love Tezuka and all, but tough competition this round don't ya know. Besides, I've barely read much of it, and it's no Black Jack or Dororo...

Ah sweet, I tricked Spark and got DB to the next round. Editing posts is so easy.

Dragonball was already on track to move on to the next round even before you and Spark voted. And Spark didn't fall for your trick, since he voted Dragonball fourth whereas if he was doing a reverse of your revision he would have put it at third.  ::)

Thanks for taking my post too seriously, ma'am. :D :D :D

Round 2, Match 7:

Fruits Basket

Vs

Beck

Vs

Lone Wolf and Cub

Vs

Berserk

----------------

Lone Wolf and Cub: A classic and deservedly so.
Berserk: Although it's not as good as it used to be, this still remains one of my favorite manga.
Beck
Fruits Basket

In every age
In every place
The deeds of men
Remain the same.

Whoa, looks like another tough one. All those manga have amazing reputations...(quickly goes to read the first chapters of Lone Wolf and Cub and Beck because he hasn't gotten around to reading them yet)...so I wouldn't mind which of these moved on myself, but as far as I'd rank them right now:

Berserk - Of all the manga here, I've read this the most at 11 volumes, and it's all been really, really good so far, and the Golden Age arc is now of one my favorite arcs in manga, even if I don't feel like the series is one of my most favorite manga ever, yet.
Beck -  One of the choice manga (or stories in general) I've read that's impressively addicting straight out of the bat while still being in a "set-up" mode. Plus, it's simply incredible for making a story about music work in the soundless medium of manga. It takes real skill to pull that kind of schtick off, and that's a testament to the quality of the characters and story. Art's a little weak though...
Lone Wolf and Cub -  I really need to read more of this...
Fruits Basket - Luck of the draw. I've only ever read a few volumes, and haven't read more of it in over two years. At this time, I can't in good conscience say I like it better than the rest of the manga in this match, which I've read recently, despite how much I like it and it's anime. Sorry, Tohru...
