Been watching the first season on Netflix.

This show is goddamn hilarious. Easily one of the best currently airing.

Foggle

Wow, season 2 is even better than the first! Love it!

Avaitor

Is it not amazing?

So many highs on that shlow.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Amazing is certainly the right word, or perhaps I should say:

Amaaazing!

I can hardly wait until we get more episodes. Apparently, Burt Reynolds is supposed to guest star. Which reminds me, I haven't actually seen any of his movies, not even Deliverance.
In every age
In every place
The deeds of men
Remain the same.

New episodes start tomorrow, and I'll actually be able to watch it.
It doesn't matter what you say, soon you'll be dead anyway.

Avaitor

That did not disappoint. Not. One. Bit.

Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'm going to have a Burt Reynolds marathon.

That whole chase sequence at the end and everyone in the van arguing about the "handicap shit" was just the greatest thing ever.

Foggle

Yeah, that episode was amazing.

"I swear to god you could drown a toddler in my panties right now!"

Avaitor

Who caught the new episode? Also really good.

I think they've been giving Cyril the shaft since the second half of season 2, so it's good to see him get some time to shine again, and he got some great bits along with Archer and Lana. Plus Krieger's bits were just awesome.

I realized I missed it like 10 minutes after it aired. :(

Avaitor

I'm really liking Cyril's arc this season. He may not be a good agent, but he has tons of good bits.

And the new episode was great, as always. The ocelot returned!

Missed it again. FML. :shit:

Avaitor

Aww, you keep on missing out.

Also, checking out tz's awards, I can't help but wonder- how can people find MLP to be such a better show than this?!

I don't have much experience watching MLP, so I can't objectively compare the two. All I know is that I've seen four episodes and those were enough for me... hated them, to be quite honest. It took all I had to stop myself from turning it off during that Winter Wrap Up song.

Anyway, Archer is by far my favorite comedy (animated or otherwise) currently airing. The writing and performances are consistently phenomenal. But I think MLP has a much larger fanbase, which is why Archer will never beat it in some online popularity contest. I mean, Archer isn't really "obscure," but its viewer count doesn't even approach that of MLP.

Seriously, just search for "yay" on Google for an example of My Little Pony's popularity.

Okay, I'm reading those awards now, and honestly, I'm sickened.

MLP walked away with 8 of the 24 awards. It was eligible of 12 of them. These include best show, best voice acting (male, female, AND ensemble), and best writing, none of which Archer was even nominated for. Hell, Archer wasn't nominated for anything.

I know a lot of people like FIM, but what the fuck. I can't believe Archer wasn't nominated for best writing, along with H. Jon Benjamin and Jessica Walter for best voice acting. Shit, man, it deserved a nomination for ensemble cast, too. This is astounding (in a bad way).
