Yeah, I heard about that too, but I honestly don't know much about Refused.
It doesn't matter what you say, soon you'll be dead anyway.

Oh man, I forgot that they played "Thirteen" in Ted and Stella's 2 minute date back in season 3 of HIMYM.

If that isn't proof of how great the music choices on that show is, I don't know what is.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

A hidden gem.

It manages to sound very 80s, but like most of her early work it still has the soul (and beat) of rock n roll. It wasn't a single, so I doubt many have heard it unless they owned the album... But in my opinion, it should have been one. Call it a guilty pleasure, I guess.

So after some recent thought, I don't think that I have a second favorite band. When asked, some days I'll say Sabbath. Other days I'll go with INXS. Other days still I'll say Agalloch. On days other than those maybe The Kills. Or Zeppelin. Or Cynic. Or Dead Kennedys. Or the Beach Boys.

It's really all over the place. My replies and my taste.

I love this article.

For some reason, Kotaku has not been focusing on video games all that much anymore, and their music articles have been some of their best ever since. It's a shame that gaming journalism is all but dead now that the entertainment format is at an all-time high in popularity. But this isn't the thread for this.

Oh, I remember them! They had that song!

That was back when radio played music that people liked instead of being run by payola.

Resident Alien is a fine album, even including "In the Meantime". I still get a bit of play from it.

I'm interested. I like 'In The Meantime' but never thought to look into the album despite myself. I've looked into a lot of other underrated 90s bands so maybe I'll give this a look sometime.

Oh wow, I'm behind. Just learned that High on Fire have a new single out.

Pretty killer, btw. The solo is sick as fuck.

So the surviving members of American Idol this week covered "Alright".

Speaking of Green Day:
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1682949/green-day-uno-dos-tres-albums.jhtml

What the hell happened to this band?  I mean, a trilogy of albums?  Isn't that just a little bit pretentious?  And how many more Bowie/Queen/Springsteen ripoffs are we gonna get this time?
It doesn't matter what you say, soon you'll be dead anyway.

Really, if they rip off anyone, it's Townshend. And even he was never that pretentious.
