Crystal was my favorite, well what little I played of it, so I'm sure I'd love them.  ;D

Foggle

Yeah dood! Them GBA Castlevanias are the bomb. :zonk:

I haven't played the DS Castlevanias, but Circle of the Moon and Aria of Sorrow could have easily been there. Two of the best games in the series.

By the way, today Capcom released Mega Man Zero 3 on the Wii U. Yes, the #1 on my list from before.

The Wii U soon might be the go-to console for Mega Man games.

So, here's some weird news:

QuoteYOKOHAMA, JAPAN (June 11, 2015) - Arc System Works, developer of world-class fighting games such as the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue series, is excited to announce that effective June 1st, 2015, all Intangible Property Rights of all titles previously owned by Technos Japan Corp.™, including but not limited to the "Double Dragon" series, "Super Dodge Ball" series, "River City Ransom", and the "Kunio-kun" series, has been transferred from Million Co., Ltd. to Arc System Works Co., Ltd.
That's pretty crazy news.

It isn't as if Million was doing much with those series anyway, but I do hope they take advantage of these IPs. Hard Corps Uprising shows a good understanding of how classic gaming works and I'd really love to see a Double Dragon or River City Ransom done in that style.

How is DOOM 3 BFG? Are there any Silent Hill HD-style problems I should worry about?

It turns a pretty good horror game into a mediocre ego shooter. Stick with the original version.

Really? What did they change?

The shoulder-mounted flashlight ruins a lot of the game's spookiness and atmosphere. It's a small change, but it basically destroys what was good about the original game in the process. Also, some of the set-pieces are dumbed down, the cutscenes are unskippable, the performance is worse, and modding is impossible.

That's . . . strange. Why didn't they just port the game as-is and just upscale the graphics?

Shame, I was hoping it would have been a good addition for my PS3 (and having another copy of both classic DOOM games were a good bonus) without having to pull out my old Xbox version considering the extras it supposedly had.

Doesn't leave me hopeful for DOOM 4. Not like RAGE helped much there either.

It's Twin Snakes Syndrome. Fans and critics beg for the inclusion of a specific feature, devs eventually include it in their remake, and the game is made worse as a result.

Say no more. I'll pass.

I'm really wary about where they're taking this series.

I actually really like the original Doom 3 despite how different it is. 4 hasn't wowed me yet, but I think it has a lot of potential. Though between Rage, BFG Edition, Id Tech 5, and the leaked Call of Doomty footage, it's hard not to be skeptical.
