I recommend that you check out Islands first, Lum. It's really good, and it looks like Elementals is following it.

I've heard good things so I plan on watching it! I actually still haven't seen the Stakes miniseries yet either, which I really need to do also. That's how far behind I am on the show.

"Elementals" was probably my least favorite of the miniseries to date, but it was still good. I was ultimately just less interested in the story here than in "Islands", while "Stakes" appealed to me more simply because Marceline might be my favorite character. But I do like getting to know more about the Simon myths, and while it was controversial for some, I like that this is probably the most active LSP has ever been.

I do hope that they cool it on miniseries until the next season, though. The show does work well with multiparters, and I understand that these bring in good ratings, but we need more breathers. There was only one episode in between "Islands" and "Elementals".

I just found out that they aired an hour full of new episodes last week. They were good ones, too! But instead, CN was more interested in promoting that (to be fair, presumably) crappy PPG special instead.

It's kind of weird, and definitely annoying, to see how much of an afterthought AT has become in the past couple of years. It's true, the show's height of popularity is gone, and most fans have become more focused on Steven Universe instead, but this is still one of their most important series, and it'll suck to see them end it on a whimper.

You nailed it. Adventure Time is on it's way out, so in their eyes why should they bother especially when they have Teen Titans Go and Steven Universe? It sucks they feel that way, but not much can be done. Was Stuart Snyder still in charge of CN when they got AT and Regular Show? Can't remember off my head.

Yeah, those shows came along halfway into his tenure. That was the turning point of his career from "CN is down the shitter" to "CN is awesome again."

In hindsight, it isn't surprising. Even PPG became an also-ran in its last season.

I saw a post the other day that rings true though- it's likely that in 10 years or so, another important series for CN will see its last episodes be ignored for a crappy Adventure Time remake.

Looks like CN is pulling the same shit they did in September. On December 17, there will be a full hour of new episodes at 7PM. Who's willing to bet this won't be promoted, either?

Sucks they consider it expendable due to it being in it's last season. At least it should also be on their App at some point.
