I'll go with the same ranking as Pharass in the first match. Just so this game continues.

Thank you, Avaitor.
I've decided to keep the matches open for a few more days (probably until Wednesday), but then I'm going to move on to the next two. Just a heads-up for those of you who haven't voted yet.

To be honest, I think that a week per round would suffice, just to give some people enough time to vote in case they are away for a few days or something like that. Unlike the movie thread, most of us can't read so many novels within just a few weeks if we haven't already read most of them in a round, because most novels are pretty long and I'm sure all of us lead fairly busy lives.

Just a suggestion, anyways, since otherwise this competition will take forever to complete.

I think you're right, one week is probably sufficient. Let's go with that from now on. Anyway, here are the results:

Ellen Foster: 2 pts
Fifth Business: 10 pts

Foundation and Empire: 8 pts
The Idiot: 10 pts
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: 4 pts

Vs

The Great Brain by John Dennis Fitzgerald

Vs

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Vs

A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin

--------

My votes:

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy: A strong candidate for the title of best spy novel.
Dracula
The Napoleon of Notting Hill
Second Foundation
The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing

Flashman and the Redskins: The Flashman Papers is among my favorite book-series and this volume is (along with Flashman at the Charge in my opinion the best one. If you want well-researched, well-written historical fiction and don't mind spending your time in the company of an utterly detestable, yet extremely entertaining protagonist, I recommend seeking these books out.
A Clash of Kings
The Old Man and the Sea
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
The Great Brain

I haven't read Octavian Nothing or The Great Brain, but the former sounds interesting; I'll check it out when I have the time.
