This is CN's next big show that I've been looking forward to for a while.

Craig of the Creek aired its pilot on the CN app a few months ago (app only, not the website, so no link available) and the show is being hailed as the potential successor to Clarence when that show ends. Finally, CN has uploaded an episode to their website as a preview. The show premieres March 30.

I'm looking forward to this one, but I was also kinda looking forward to OK Ko, and still haven't got to that yet.

But I did see the preview during CN's new video series, and thought that it looked really charming. It looks like a cross between Clarence and Recess, which is a good thing in my eyes.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Just now watched the pilot. Pretty good especially by pilot standards. None of the characters are annoying, and the main kids are fun in different ways. I like Craig's older brother is a nerd but has a girlfriend and doesn't live in a single parent household. Lot of bad cliches broken in his setting alone. Kelsey's inner monologues were funny, though I hope they don't go too overboard with them in future. JP is dumb, but a nice kid. The paintball Sargent kid I think will be awesome as the series goes along. I can't help wondering if the leader of the Sewer Kids will be Craig's love interest.

At any rate, lot of good storyboarding and animation in this. Marc Burnett was one of Steven Universe's best writers so I knew when he did his own show it'd be good. He and Levin are already showing promise with this. Cartoon Network has been stuck in a drought with Regular Show and Adventure Time winding down but between this and Unikitty already the future is looking a lot brighter for them.

CN will be giving this show the Unikitty treatment. Six episodes will rotate every hour on March 31 and April 1.

Meaning it will get quite a lot of airings. That's good news!

This show is like Steven Universe only with urban adventure instead of science fiction lore.

Craig of the Creek has episodes running every hour on the hour today, including two new episodes!

I like that we're seeing a bunch of different factions among the kids. The horse girl with a crush on JP is adorable.

Are they even done with Season 1 yet?

Good to know it got renewed, though I figured it would.

I've been using vacation time, and have finally had the chance to finish OK KO, which is a lot of fun. So I decided to get to this next, which has also been enjoyable. I like how it builds on the joy of expressing your creative side as a child with Craig and the rest of the Creek. It takes me back to how much fun I used to have with my friends playing in the "woods" of our neighborhood, exploring our backyards and dirt paths. That feeling of bigness, how small you'd feel with a world so big around you, it's a nice way to add to the slice of life style. I can definitely see EEnE in this show's blood, and it's also a worthy substitute to Clarence.
