The good news? Goldeneye, SMB, A Link to the Past, and Doom were spotted in the preview for tommorow's episode. And I believe Shadow of the Colosus was seen too. We should brace ourselves for massive FPS wanking regardless. And I know WoW will make the top 20 (it was seen as well).

Why? Why? 

They might as well just throw the whole damn series (IE Madden, NBA2K, etc.) onto the list as one spot if they insist on sport sim representation. It'd make so much more sense than selecting individual versions of games that hardly, if at all, differ from their previous outing (outside of updated rosters). Seriously, what makes 2005 any better than 2004? Or 2006? Are they just huge Ray Lewis fans or something, and him being the cover athlete was what put it over the top?

The gameplay mechanics remain relatively unchanged in each passing version. It's a realistic interpretation of NFL Football; not a whole lot of places you can go that'll really set one year's game apart from the next.

I would have picked 2 for the best middle-ground, but THPS1 was pretty amazing when it came out. I still think it's great now.

Wow, 30 places too low. The should try playing this some time, it's still an amazing game and one of the best of all time.

Respectable. Now if this is the only Halo game, that should be good.

Well, at least we're still getting some pre-NES games, here. I liked the game well enough, myself, but I have no idea how well its stacks up with the more obscure pre-NES games that other people are claiming should make a top 100 list like this.

Fair enough, but I like 2 and 3 better (3 is the best one, IMO)....actually I take back what I said about it being fair, as this entry is way too high. I do think it belongs on the list, but not in the top 50, honestly.

This spot actually seems kind of low, honestly.

This....is actually a really good spot, honestly. Yeah, I pretty much agree with this ranking. Its not too high or too low. It feels just right for this game.

Way too high. I like the game, but its honestly very overrated by the critics. Its just a good game, but its nowhere near being great.

YES! This game deserves to be here. I am SO glad that this made it much higher than Mass Effect 2, since I like the KOTOR games way more than ME, personally.

The closest I've ever come to beating a JRPG that's not a Pokemon game, which is to say that I liked it, even if I still couldn't be bothered to finish it. So, it probably deserves to be here.

I'm sure Shadow of the Colossus is a great or at least respectable game, but I've been turned off from both this and Ico ever since one of its devoted fans had the gall to tell me that Ninja Gaiden Black and NG2 were all flash and no substance and that Shadow of the Colossus was a better action game. I can NEVER take that seriously.
