Slowdown of the Colossus is also a good game that gets rated way too high, but that's Ueda for you. Makes good games that have atmosphere and it takes them from "good" to "best ever" to most folks.

I'm sure Shadow of the Colossus is a great or at least respectable game, but I've been turned off from both this and Ico ever since one of its devoted fans had the gall to tell me that Ninja Gaiden Black and NG2 were all flash and no substance and that Shadow of the Colossus was a better action game. I can NEVER take that seriously.

I just... I don't know. They aren't fun (for me). They have cool ideas and are well made, I suppose, but I just don't find them enjoyable. They're pretty trite as far as action games go IMO.

I'll actually give this list some credit if it can refrain from listing any CoD games besides CoD4/MW1 (which, lets face it, is a pretty obvious top 20 entry for this particular list).

If they wanted to put Arkham City and Skyrim on the list so badly, they should've taken over Ways with Words and Angry Birds spots instead. And Madden shouldn't even be on here.

Sadly, I doubt Yoshi's Island will make this list. Not too suprising, but still dissapointing.

I can't take a list seriously when it places Angry Birds in the top 50 but Yoshi's Island is nowhere to be seen on the list, period. That's implying that Yoshi's Island is not in league with the best games of all time and is totally outclassed by a game like Angry Birds which apparently is one of the best games ever made. That's a load of shit.

Just the opposite. The saturn had a lot of great games, but apparently only one of them is good enough to make this list. The lack of Radiant Silvergun is criminal.

...and this is the problem I have with sports sims. 90% of the time, they're not even new games; it's last years model with a fresh coat of paint, a new cover athlete, new soundtrack, new team attributes, and updated rosters. That's it. Gameplay mechanics rarely ever differ between years, and to call one out as simply being that much greater than the rest, when it's barely any different at all, seems like a silly waste of time.

Pretty much. Saturn didn't have an actual Sonic platformer (well, one worth talking about anyway... you know what I mean  ), so Nights was probably the closest thing it had to a killer app.

Actually, I doubt Bayonetta will even get ranked on the list, but if it does that wouldn't be wrong at all. It deserves a high ranking (well, OK, the top 20 might be too high, but it still deserves to be high on this list to represent the hack n' slash game genre). Also, DMC will probably be ranked instead of DMC3, but DMC3 is the better game, IMO (however the first game is undeniably way more influential).

Also, I'd be really surprised if they didn't rank The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I'm fine with A Link to the Past being there, but I'm almost certain that OoT will definitely be ranked on the list whether ATP is there or not.

There's a suspicious lack of Sega games on the whole list. OutRun 2 (they put the original, but not the greatest racing game ever? What?), Sonic 3&K, Gunstar Heroes, NiGHTS, Shinobi (any of them), Ristar, House Of The Dead (Again, ANY OF THEM), Shenmue, Jet Set Radio, Astal, Rez... The list goes on.

Not to mention we've seen one Mario game so far and one Kart. This list seems to be bent solely to include flash in the pan current stuff.

You don't see One Direction making a (real) list of greatest albums of all time, do you?
