Favorite Games Ever (Besides Ninja Gaiden, Obviously)

So I wanted to finally make a top 10 game list. I have a list of different types of games that I really love and think deserve a place. However, the problem I faced is that, oftentimes, I like certain games in a franchise nearly equally. Because of that, if I were to make a legit top 10 and just listing the games as I like them, I feel like 6-7 of the games would be from two franchises, which makes for a pretty boring looking list. I could get around that by doing the "one game per franchise" rule. But I still think many of those franchise games deserve mentions, and I don't like that rule anyway... Foogle and Spark. :P

Because of that, I think I'll instead try to make a tier list, which gives myself room to name over 10 games, and not have to put them in perfect order. It'll probably take a while though. But I guess until then, at some point I could post the top 10 I put together, despite how repetitive it may be.

I intended to post this right after making that last post. Here's the most repetitive top 10 list. It'd probably look something like this.

1. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
2. Super Mario Galaxy 2
3. Super Mario Galaxy
4. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
5. Chrono Trigger
6. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
7. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
8. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
9. Fallout 3
10. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Yep, 7/10 of those games come from two franchises. Kind of makes the whole thing pointless. But I wanted to also include other games, so I'll give some of them mentions here.

The Curse of Monkey Island
Super Metroid
Silent Hill 2
Resident Evil
Dragon Seeds

Spark Of Spirit

I couldn't stand Fallout 3 to be quite honest. Borderlands basically did everything I expected from that game and made it fun to actually play.

The game will also feature "in-depth Miiverse integration" according to Square, and will also contain developer commentaries and in-game guides, along with overhauled boss fights, refined game balance, improved AI and visual improvements as well. Square haven't detailed just what changes have been made to the boss fights yet.

Finally, Deus Ex: Human Revolution - The Director's Cut will also include Tong's Rescue Mission and the Missing Link DLC chapter, which Square say have been "integrated seamlessly into the narrative flow" of the game.

Wow, awesome. Really hope they bring this new stuff to the PC version via patch or DLC.

That's nice news. But is there any reason you posted it in this thread? :P

Because Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of my favorite games ever? Thought it was kind of obvious... :P

More features listed here.

Looks like this'll be the version of the game I'll be going with. The in-game strategy guide sounds pretty cool, reminds me of when Illusion of Gaia came with its own official strategy guide back in the day.

Using a strategy guide kills half the fun of Deus Ex. Trust me, ignore that feature.

Spark Of Spirit

If it has Off-TV play then it's definitely the definitive version. It's weird how amazing that feature is.

You imply that I'm an expert of the art form called "remembering these things". Which I am not.

Why else do you think he would have posted this here then?
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

Looks like you ranked Deus Ex in your top 5 favorite games ever just a page back. Okay, how DID I not remember?

Let's never speak of this incident again.
