And no whining about difficulty, you can use save states here.  ;)

Oh you
Oh, and the 3DS has Game Boy Mega Man IV on sale.

If you're a Mega Man fan, you really should get it. It's one of the best Classic Mega Man games.

Hey Foggle, I remember you having some problems with it at some point. But I must ask, how is the Steam port of RE4?

Extremely well-done, but my copy has weird glitches that don't appear to be too common. I'm not sure why, but for me, the enemies take about 1/2 as many hits to kill as they're supposed to, and the game almost always crashes after codec calls with Hunnigan. I wouldn't recommend the Steam version from personal experience, but I seem to be one of the only people having these problems, so it's probably worth a shot.

I want to own this whole series on Steam. I know 4, 5, 6, and Revelaitons are there, and we'll be getting 1 soon. We just need the rest.

Foggle

I honestly doubt that 2, 3, 0, or Code Veronica will ever make it to Steam. It apparently took some doing to get REmake working on modern hardware, and I don't think Capcom would want to invest in remaking 0 the same way, since it isn't particularly popular. The PC ports of 2 and 3 are absolutely horrific, and definitely unreleasable on Steam, so those are also out unless Capcom decides to put in the effort toward making new ports. CV is more likely to come to PC than the others, since it already has an HD remaster, but I don't think that one's popular enough to be viable for Capcom at the moment, since they're on the verge of collapse. :(

I figured. I just want most games to be playable on PC. :P

Ultimate Mega Man Tier List:

Top Tier
Mega Man X / Maverick Hunter X [PSP]
Mega Man 3 [NES]
Mega Man 9
Mega Man Zero 3
Mega Man 2 [NES]
Mega Man V [Game Boy]
Mega Man Zero 2
Mega Man IV [Game Boy]

High Tier
Mega Man X2
Mega Man Legends 2
Mega Man Legends
Mega Man X3
Mega Man X4
Mega Man Zero
Mega Man 7

Mid Tier
Mega Man Zero 4
Mega Man [NES] / Powered Up [PSP]
Mega Man III [Game Boy]
Mega Man X8
Mega Man 5 [NES]
Mega Man X5
Mega Man ZX
Mega Man Battle Network Transmission

Mid-Low Tier
Mega Man & Bass

Low Tier
Mega Man 8
Mega Man 4 [NES]
Mega Man 6 [NES]

Bottom Tier
Mega Man II [Game Boy]
Mega Man X6
Mega Man ZX Advent
Mega Man X7

I had to split the low games into two areas because they're not comparable in quality even though not as good as the mid games. All in all, it's an excellent series. It's a shame Capcom never really pushed it much despite its quality.

Would would you guys say is Nintendo's weakest home console (ignoring the Wii U since it's only a few years old)?

Gamecube without question.

There are excellent games on the system, but as a whole Nintendo's games felt like they were going in a direction I didn't want from them. Their software didn't have quite the polish on the whole, Rare wasn't there to prop them up, third parties were gone (more or less), and they had all but abandoned 2D like everyone else.

It was why Wind Waker surprised me so thoroughly when it was revealed. It was just the type of thing I hoped for from Nintendo, but didn't expect at all.

Of course, the system has classics. Every system usually has at least a classic or two buried in its library. The Thousand Year Door, Wind Waker, Double Dash, Super Monkey Ball, Viewtiful Joe . . . there are great games. But I'm confident in saying it has the least amount of games I like of any Nintendo system.

I can tell you right now, I already think the Wii U is a better system than the Gamecube. And it still has plenty of juice left.

It has plenty more classics beyond what you list. Smash Bros. Melee, Twilight Princess, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 4, Eternal Darkness...  there are a lot. And these aren't just great games. They are accepted classics. :P

I think it has held up better than the Nintendo 64. I feel like the N64 is a hit or miss console. It's classics are top tier classics, but it also has games that haven't aged well. And honestly, beyond first party games and Rare... does it have much at all?
