I kept in the number subtitle for continuity sake. :sly:

Anyways, I'm currently half-way through Episode Three of Alan Wake, and its still as fun as ever. Incidentally my only problem with the gameplay right now is the same problem I had with the Max Payne games (though, only to a minor extent): the level design can be too cluttered at times and you can find yourself getting stuck in-between objects at intense moments, impairing your ability to dodge enemy attacks properly, and allowing you to get cluster-fucked to death. It doesn't happen too often, but when it does its really annoying. Other than that, its been a fantastic experience, so far.

Donkey Kong Country Returns.

Already on world 3, and it's bitching.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

World 4 has some rage-worthy levels. But it's all good.  :light:

It's already getting harder as I get along, so I'm already anticipating that.

I'm only on World 2 in DKCR, and I'm already in love with this game. Though, I will say that this game likes to give you so much lives, that I'm currently at 30.

Also, been playing some Dead Rising 2, great game, and I just love screwing around in the mall.

I have burned 30 lives in one level in world 4.

Be ready.  :sly:

Mario Galaxy 2. It has to be the best game of the year to me. I might like it more then the original. The mood and hub aren't as good, but the levels are SO FUN!

Spark Of Spirit

I think I prefer that there's no hub. I've never really liked the concept of hubs in platformers, I prefer the simple and straightforward world map. Gets you from level to level faster and into the action right away.

But yeah, Galaxy 2 is my favorite 3D platformer. Easily the best Mario one, anyway.

KotOR, Fable II, Castlevania Lords of Shadow and the Punisher. Yes I need to get new games. :/

Unfortunately I won't be playing DKCR for a while now since I no longer have a Wii.

Speaking of KOTOR, I feel like I'm the only one who prefers both the KOTOR games to Mass Effect (the first one, that is). They were just more fun for me, and honestly weren't as slow-paced, and their side-quests were actually interesting.

I do like Mass Effect, though, but it gets boring for me every now and then.

I generally like hubs, except for the Sonic Adventure ones. However, there IS a hub in Mario Galaxy 2. :P

Kinda' odd how KOTOR 1 and 2 are more fast-paced than ME 1, but ME 2 is a lot faster-paced than the KOTOR games.

There is a hub, yes. But I never use it and never have to. Which I like.

I'm hoping Kirby Epic Yarn isn't difficult for little ones, since that's the one video game they got.

The general consensus is that the game is so incredibly easy that its almost impossible to "lose" at it in any possible way. The only conceivably challenges it has are the ones that players set for themselves, for the most part, such as trying to get through entire levels without taking any damage, and stuff along those lines. So I think that any kids would have a blast playing the game without having to endure any frustration at all.
