talon clearly doesn't know what perfect adaptation means.

I've actually never ever seen either of those shows but yes, Monster is great enough to be alongside any of today's best live action shows.

This is honestly something that I could see working if it was handled with extreme care and talent. And Guillermo IS a talented director. That said, its also something that could go horribly wrong. I'd love to see something like this go right, though.

If you have to explain the joke, then it's probably not funny.

But in all seriousness, as for the news, I think it could work. Will keep in touch.

It would work really well in that format, but expecting it to happen is a whole other matter.

Honestly, they could air the anime on HBO and it would easily rival even their best original shows. If this really ends up happening, and they don't screw it up, I will be absolutely ecstatic. Also, it might get more people interested in Urasawa and anime/manga in general, which would be amazing.

Dr. Ensatsu-ken

I would particularly be interested in seeing what kind of actors they higher for the roles. Obviously they would all have to be extremely talented in order for this to work, but in particular the 2 characters I'm most interested in seeing casted (if this thing ever actually does happen, which is a mighty big "IF") are Grimmer and Johan, with the former being my favorite overall character in the story, and the latter being the best villain that I have ever seen in a manga or anime, or pretty much otherwise.

I'm pretty much sold after reading the part where Urasawa has to give approval. But seriously, I'm getting more and more interested in this. If it does get made, hopefully it's better than The Walking Dead tv...

It would be a great way to give the story more exposure.

Though you'll get the inevitable side-effect of "Man, Monster's awesome. Wait, what's all this about a mayn-guh?"
