I currently have an XBOX360 and roughly about 12 days worth of XBL Gold left, so I just need to know how to set up a Japanese account in the first place and then I can download the demo.

Navigating the Japanese dashboard might be somewhat tough without knowledge of the language, but thankfully the game's name should be in English (that is, Max Anarchy, not Anarchy Reigns). You should be able to play the demo using your main account once it's installed. I did this for the early release RE 5 demo a few years back and it worked just fine. :)

I'd play with you guys on the Xbox version, but I don't have Gold. :(

Thanks, I'll try this out as soon as I get a chance.
Keep in mind that the demo isn't out until May 31st. ;) I'll let you guys know when it's up!

There you have it! Sega of America's more focused on re-releasing old games than publishing new ones at present.

At least it's Jet Set Radio, which is actually an awesome game and one I really want a chance to play. That makes me a lot less annoyed than if it were, say, Shadow The Hedgehog XBLA.

Dr. Ensatsu-ken

We'd be more likely to get a Sonic Heroes re-release before Sega ever even considered re-releasing Shadow the Hedgehog. Its pretty much their 2nd worst received Sonic game ever, with Sonic '06 being notoriously the most awful (but really, when you get down to it, they are both garbage in the end).

I myself would like to see them make a HD re-release of Colors so that I could actually play it for myself.

Foggle

I would love a 360/PS3/PC release of Colors, if only for the 60 FPS goodness it would bring. If I were Sega, I'd just leave the graphics untouched and up the frame rate.

Dr. Ensatsu-ken

Yeah, I'm fine with it either way as long as I could play it. I just find it kind of annoying that while most Sonic games are released across pretty much all major platforms, the first really good one to come out in a long time was exclusively for a console that I didn't own. Granted that, owners of HD consoles got Generations while Nintendo got snubbed on that one (as well as Sonic 4 Episode 2, for that matter), but still, I totally would have grabbed Colors if it were out on the XBOX360 as well, and if it were on that and the PS3 in addition to the Wii, Sega could have probably doubled their sales for that game, easily.

Kiddington

I doubt they'll ever re-release any of the Sonic games from that era (basically everything from Heroes, up until Unleashed).

...except Sonic Riders. For some reason, Sega still believes in that one, judging by the recent Kinect offering (God only knows why; the original was one of the clunkiest racing games I've ever played).

When you think about it, racing games with Sonic in them shouldn't make any sense in the first place. He's the fastest thing alive- why would anyone want to try to outrace him? And what's worse, it's easy to top him if you're good enough.

The worst case is easily the stuff in the Mario & Sonic games, where even fucking Bowser can outrun him.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

I think that's why they put Sonic on a hoverboard or a car in the first place, so anyone outracing him could be justified without losing his credibility. Technically only 3 other characters can possibly outrun him, and who wants to play a modern racer with only 4 playable characters anyway? :P

Olympics weirdness aside, I always just imagine he races in a car to give everyone else a sporting chance.

It's Sonic R that doesn't really make any sense.

No Anarchy Reigns at E3. Drumming up hype at E3 was literally the only intelligent reason I could think of for the western delay.

I can safely say that it's not coming to America or Europe now. Not in 2012, at the very least.

Spark Of Spirit

I'm certain someone will ask for sure at E3, but yeah, that's too bad. They could have at least hyped it for a budget release at the very least and get some sales.

Japanese demo is up now on both PSN and Xbox Live! Unfortunately, it's a Japanese Gold exclusive for the next week on 360.

Here's how you can download it on PSN. It's pretty easy.

1) Make a Japanese PSN account.
2) Enter the Japanese store.
3) Press the search button at the top right.
4) Choose the second item from the drop down list. Then in the search box, press select a few times to switch to English text, and type "Max Anarchy" (no quotes) in the box.
5) Select the first option that isn't a video and doesn't cost money. Then press the yellow button to download, and press X again once the next box pops up to begin downloading.

The demo itself should be completely localized in English, but it's still downloading for me so I can't tell you how it works yet.
