I thought that Super Mario Land 2 was the worst non-CDI Mario game.

It's been so long since I played that game. But for some reason I remember the levels being fairly barren. I did love the main theme of the game, though.

But isn't there someone here who actually considers that the best Mario game?

You just don't appreciate janky games with terrible level design, over sized sprites, floaty jumping, and lousy scrolling.

I thought that was Super Mario Land 1. Replaying this game confounds and confuses me.

You should at least demo, rent, borrow, or torrent a game before making an actual judgment on it, though. You don't have to buy it, but you should find some way to play it, unless it's just obviously broken like Ninjabread Man or whatever.
Yeah, Spark's school of thought is terrible.

Bingo. I can't stand the first Super Mario Land. Half the time, I was never sure if Mario would actually jump the way I want him too or just plummet like a rock. The game's physics were kind of weird.

I think the Super Mario Galaxy games were too linear. It was basically "here's the star, go get it". In Mario 64 you had to actually find the star. While the levels were pretty cool, I just felt let down that they weren't more open. I mean, it's a game set in space, that's as open as it gets.

As much as I love Bowser, I think Mario needs some new villains. They should bring back Wart or Tatanga. Heck, maybe Wario, he was originally a bad guy.

Sonic Heroes wasn't too bad. The gameplay felt varied and I loved Metal Sonic. The voice acting was crap but it's always been that way, even before the 4Kids era.

Mario Sunshine and Mario 2 USA are almost evenly tied for least favorite Mario game. Sunshine wins out because it has some cool levels like the casino. That being said they're still not terrible games, just the weakest of that bunch. Now Mario is Missing however...

Pokemon is getting boring for me. I still haven't gotten Black 2 or White 2 and I'm not sure if I'll get X or Y. It just feels stale now.

My brother gets the newest FIFA game for 360 every time it comes out. Other than team rosters what makes them so different?

I used to think Lost Levels was the worst, but I can easily give that title to NSMB 2 or U now. Both of them completely forgettable and piss easy.

Spark Of Spirit

Super Mario Land 2 is the easiest.

I really don't see what's so easy about U. Especially when dealing with the challenges.

What challenges? Catching the thief guy?

It's not a terrible game, but it definitely feels like an easy pass for me. It plays and feels like the Wii version, just not nearly as fresh or interesting.

This so damn much. We're in space! Why the hell wasn't there a bit more exploration? And half the levels don't even fit the space motif. It's just random toy lands and food in space. I still love both games though, but it's that kind of thing that puts Sunshine ahead of the Galaxy titles for me.
