:D If only the US version of Streets Of Rage 3 let you beat the entire game on Easy mode instead of having the game stop at the creepy ending after you defeat Robo X. The only game where I have to go to the options and give myself as many lives as possible (and use two controllers to even have a small chance at getting the bad endings, nevermind the good one ) Funny enough, the Japanese version is very easy to beat. Hell, too easy. I flew through that game. And of course much more fun since it's possible to make it past stage 2 with all your continues.

I loathe the final boss in Streets Of Rage 3 if only because he is annoying to hit and because of that dumb time limit.

I like a lot of things in SoR3, but the little things just pull it back from me liking it more than 2 where I used to like it more.

Metal Slug X is now on the Virtual Console.

Now that the best games in the series are all on, hopefully SNK can divert their attention to getting Shock Troopers, Pulstar, and Last Blade 2 on there.

I hear you can add time to the timer or some shit. Either way, that boss is the worse boss in Streets Of Rage history.

I don't like knifing the guy suntanning in the train stage in Metal Slug X.

It feels mean to the poor guy who's just catching some sun.  :-[

My local Walmart still has new unopened copies of Drill Dozer sitting on it's shelves, for like ten bucks a pop.  It's crazy.

Oh, and today is the Dreamcast's 13th birthday.

I wish I got that instead of a Gameboy Advance.

I've been playing lot's of old games lately. First it was this...

Then it was this...

Now it's this...

Life is as it should be.

Got Street Fighter II Turbo for free at the flea market today.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

My local Play-N-Trade closed up shop so now I don't have a local place that sells retro games anymore. :whuh:

They converted it into a clothing store for toddlers. :wth:

Yeah, I don't think they are doing so hot right now.  They've been closing quite a few stores recently, as opposed to a few years ago when they were expanding like crazy.

Anyway, I went on my own little retro shopping trip, got a few NES games(like A Boy and His Blob), a few SNES games(Aladdin), and a few DC games(Dave Mirra, MvC2).  The most interesting thing I picked up though was an alternate label copy of Metroid, it has a yellow label instead of the silver one.  I don't know how rare it is though.

My local Play-N-Trade closed up around two years ago. Of course, they were a bit overpriced (moreso than the two mom and pop operations we've got going here), so I never really did much in the way of shopping there.

Amazon continues to be my retro gaming preference, though... that is, of course, when I actually have money.  :srs:

Avaitor

Well like I said, we never had a Play-N-Trade here, so I don't know what to say.

Our Gorilla Games have turned to shit though. There's barely anything left at any of them.

That feel where you never went to a Play-N-Trade before in your life.
