Well, I can't agree with that sentiment. Though to be fair, season 5 was 52 episodes long compared to previous seasons which were just 26. If we're just talking about the first half of season 5, I'd agree, since there were a lot of misses there for me and that did cause me to take a break from the show for a while, but when I started it up again I found that the second half of it was some of the finest material AT has put out since season 3. So far, season 6 has just been consistent with the second half of season 5, imo.

Season 5 was a bit of a mixed bag, yeah, but it WAS twice the length of the previous seasons. I agree that the second half was stronger, as well.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

They better release it soon. The show is well into its sixth season and it's losing a bit of steam to CN's other original shows. I hope it's not too late for them. I don't want another PPG Movie scenario.

I dunno, I think Adventure Time is still more relevant than SpongeBob, and look at how well the movie's been doing. Maybe this can be a bigger success than the PPG movie was.

I just finished the Stakes miniseries, and I'm pretty happy with it. This was kind of a mixed bag, with some episodes and scenes being stronger than others, but to be fair, this was a lot of Adventure Time to tackle, so I can handle uneveness. But I really do like when the show focuses on its bigger world, and when you combine it centering on one of my favorite characters, I came out pretty happy overall.

I do hope that we get some lighter episodes soon, though. This season has been pretty heavy so far, and I usually prefer it when AT has a better balance between the two.

I still love the show, but hard to be sad about a cartoon ending when it manages to get nine seasons. I will miss it, but Adventure Time ran the risk of getting stale. Weird they keep announcing these endings so early when they have two years like with Uncle Grandpa.

The bad thing is Cartoon Network is going to need to greenlight a LOT of new cartoons soon. They must have a big batch they're running through to be closing most of their current lineup.

A new miniseries is coming up called "Islands," and holy crap! They actually updated Finn's singing to correlate with his current age!

Has Adventure Time done arc-specific intros before?

This new miniseries seems pretty interesting. I haven't watched AT in a while, but this seems like a good opportunity to get back into it.
