Well, after all the discussion we were having, I'm playing through my favorite game of all time: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

It's been five or six years since my last playthrough. And I'm enjoying myself as much as ever. This time I'm aiming to 100% it though.

Good luck! I found it surprisingly tricky at times.

You gonna max out your level?

More along the lines of collecting everything. Badges. Star pieces. I finally want to beat the Pit of 100 trials as well. According to my old files, the highest I ever went was was Lvl. 31.  But if there is an easy way to max out Mario's level, I'd like to hear it.

I guess another factor in me playing it is watching chuggaconroy's Super Paper Mario LP on YouTube lately. Which he finished today, oddly enough. I'm in a Paper Mario mood.

But I really need a break from my massive backlog. Some familiar territory that I know and love will be welcome.

Fight Bullet Bills nonstop for 100. :P

That's really the best way to do it. Just put on defense badges, stand infront of a Bullet Bill cannon, repeatedly press the attack button, and change the channel...

I... never heard about that. I might honestly try it. I love maxing out in RPGs.

Rhythm Thief for the 3DS is out now. Sega dropped the price to $29.99, so if you want a good music or adventure game be sure to grab it. I think Sega could use the support at this juncture, too. Honestly I hope it finds success, because it really is a great game.

Of course being a Sega game the soundtrack is uber catchy.

Good news!

Falcom is looking to move their games to PC, smartphones and the 3DS in the future! I'm glad to see they won't be continuing to put all their eggs in the Sony basket anymore. They deserve more attention.

And some people just can't deal!

As long as they keep the Trails In The Sky universe going, I'm happy.

Archie seems to be treating Mega Man better than Capcom. As much as I would prefer a game, I might check this out when a trade is released.

Oh god, the Archie Sonic comics... I remember reading that shit back in the day. I must have at least 70 issues stashed somewhere around here.

I actually just ended my subscription a few months ago. Been collecting since 1997, but I just want to wait for the right graphic novels now to save space. As for the crossover, I like the idea, but I think 12 issues is a bit overkill, and I really hope it's a non-canon for fun kind of thing, because Mega Man almost just started and the Sonic comic has so many plot lines going right now that throwing this into its continuity, especially at this point, just seems like a giant mess waiting to happen. Eh. I'm not paying for it anymore. Let'em do whatever the hell they want.

I like Ian's writing more than previous artists, but I feel like ever since 175 he's been trying to outdo himself in "epicness" with every arc and it's gotten to the point for me where I'm not finding anything to be really exciting anymore, especially after certain characters escaped death so close together, and with so many plots going on at once, so much so that even Sonic Universe's arcs are getting taken up by the main comic's stories.

Oh, and both StH #242 and SU #45 are non-canon, SEGA-mandated game tie-ins. With all that's going on right now, the last thing we need are sudden breaks from canon for a damn Sonic All-Star Racing tie-in.

And that would be a rant from a Sonic comic fan who cares too much.  :awesome:

I actually bought a couple of Sonic paperbacks for my birthday of the earliest stories. They have a big one with the first 20 or so issues, but in black and white. I'm considering trading the ones I have in for that. They're far from perfect, but hell, the comics are better than the video games have been since last gen.

I haven't read the Mega Man comics, so i can't say anything about them. I might check out the crossover though.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

I read the Mega Man comics, I like the art is Arcs 1, 3 & 4. Arc 1 & 3 adapted the First two games in Mega Man series, while Arc 2 gave us the Robot Masters from the PSP game, Time Man and Oil Man. Arc 4 is actually an original story that does introduce Rush to the series. I do admit that I do enjoy this writer and this is probably one of my favorite series out there.

AFAIK, you can get the first 2 arcs in Trade Form right now and I think Arc 3 will be released something in August.
