Poor Archer. It's been twice that his dream girl has been taken away from him, both times from the same guy. At least Barry had his vengeance for Archer screwing his fiance, though.

Also, is it just me, or do the characters on the show seem to love doggy style? Whenever they get caught, it's usually in that position.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

I like to think that in this case, doing it doggy-style with Katya was a calculated move on Barry's part, since that's the position he found Archer and Framboise in back in Job Offer.

See, it's like poetry. It rhymes.

Speaking of Job Offer; I always found it funny that the primary reason for Barry wanting revenge on Archer (well, aside from allowing him to fall of a roof, twice) is because the latter had sex with his fiance. However, in that episode, Barry's primary goal is to have sex with Lana.

Later 'tater.

Very true. And as for Cyril, it's possible that he just likes giving it up the butt because that's what "sex addicts" are into.

I wasn't really digging this episode too much until Cheryl and Pam came in. It got a lot better from there and ended with a great ending.

Cannot wait for next week. I can just tell that there are going to be some epic Aliens references, too.

Kreiger has the best van.

FOR MAAARRRRRSSSSS! *blam*

Great episode. Can't believe Cyril owned Barry like that.

Avaitor

I love all the Rush references on this show. I'd love to see how they find a way to make his new van have the Presto! cover.

And yeah, that was a great season finale for a great season. And now I think it's time to start Breaking Bad.

So what have you guys thought about season 3 as a whole?

Honestly, I hate to admit it, but I prefer season 2's more, ahem, down to earth approach. I miss the more intricate spy plots as opposed to the sillier storylines. The season finale was also a little disappointing. It was a lot of fun, yes, but it didn't really resolve anything. Bu I do give it credit with Barry's ending. I felt that his appearances were getting tiresome this season, and was hoping that they'd evolve into something. But it didn't seem like that was the case.

I will say that one thing that season 3 has over 2 is that there isn't a weak episode. While I thought that 2 started getting a little mediocre early on until Archer got cancer, every episode in 3 was a stitch. I also love Cyril's storyarc this season.

Sadly, I only saw the first four episodes. Of those, I honestly thought the Heart of Archness trilogy was pretty weak compared to the first two seasons (still good, though), but I loved the Burt Reynolds episode. I'll have to wait for the DVD release to answer your question properly. :(

Avaitor

I still love the Heart of Archness eps. Patrick Warburton at his finest.

I love the first one and to a lesser extent the third one, but the second one really didn't do much for me. Warburton was fucking awesome, though.

Rewatching "The Rock" last might, and I noticed this great little exchange of dialogue (paraphrasing since I don't feel like pulling out the transcript)

Malory- Did you not learn anything from that endeavor?
Archer- Yes, mother, I learned the difference between flammable and inflammable.
Lana- Wait, what?

Consider the previous episode and its main running gag (which, might I add, that particular episode never gets old). Fucking genius writing.

None of the episodes (that I've seen) ever get old.

Been slowly working my way through season 3. I liked Heart Of Archness a lot more this time; was probably just in a bad mood when I saw it initially.

Anyway, I just watched Lo Scandalo. That was quite possibly the hardest I've laughed all year. Definitely in the running for my favorite Archer episode ever.

Avaitor

My favs are definitely a tie between "Skytanic" and "El Secuestro".
