In other words, Capcom has been full of empty words.

Time to wrap it up now. Someone just buy RE from them.

Wait, I'm confused. There have been Resident Evil games released since RE4?
Yes.

That's a relief. For a moment I was worried you were implying that Shinji Mikami had just left his franchise to degenerate into mindless third-person shooters with bad storytelling and end labels with spelling errors.

Capcom should give Resident Evil to Tango Gameworks, the crew that made The Evil Within led by Mikami. They he can retcon every game made after RE4 out of the canon and make a real RE4 follow-up that satisfyingly shows the fall of Umbrella. And let that be the end of the series so it can go out with some dignity and we can all move on.

That will never happen for the same reason that Hideki Kamiya said he will never make another DMC game, which is that if he wanted to continue working on the series, he would've stayed at Capcom. It's the same for Shinji Mikami. He HATES Capcom,  and left the company for a reason. If the offered to outsource it to his development team, he'd refuse them out if spite. Additionally, I believe that he has previously stated in interviews that he likes to work on new projects and doesn't want to just be associated with just one series. For quite a while most people only really knew him as the guy who created Resident Evil. Since then, he's directed more unique games like God Hand, Vanquish, and most recently The Evil Within.

Indeed. And while a sequel to The Evil Within is almost certainly in the cards at Tango/Bethesda, Mikami will probably go the Kamiya route and let someone else direct it while he works on an original IP.

Hey Foggle, have you played any of the... side Resident Evil games (aside from the Chronicles games)?

Probably Dead Aim, but I haven't actually played that one myself.

Is the Lost in Nightmares chapter playable on the PC version of RE5?

Foggle

The DLC was never released on PC, unfortunately.

I actually would figure that fans would have made a patch for the Lost in Nightmares chapter. Then again, I'm not sure how possible or legal that is.

Do you know if Revelaitons HD has mutiplayer?

Neither, I'd assume.

I think so.
