Sleep- "Dopesmoker"

Started playing this after Figure It Out, and i'm still not done. ;D Granted, I paused it for a few minutes to take a shower, but still.
Life is not about the second chances. It's about a little mouse and his voyage to an exciting new land. That, my friend, is what life is.

Sir, do you have any Warrants?
I got their first CD, but you can't have it, motherfucker!

The new Rush album. After all the hype, I'm intrigued.

I have the new Rush set up to play soon. I'll get to it tomorrow, probably

Silversun Pickups- "Out of Breath"

Boxcar Racer - "I Feel So"

Heard this for the first time in years the other day. So apparently, this is Blink-182 in essentially everything but name only (with a couple of other different guys thrown in; I forget who all was involved, exactly). I don't know how I didn't pick up on that as a kid, but eh, whatevs. It's okay.

Yeah, they were just a side project of blink, which featured Tom Delonge and Travis Barker(although Mark Hoppus did guest vocal on one song; so did Tim Armstrong of Op Ivy/Rancid/Transplants fame[and Billie Joe's cousin]).  Tom formed it as a contradiction to the pop-punkiness/jokeyness of blink(who were at the time riding off of the Take off Your Pants and Jacket album), because he wanted to do a more hardcore/serious project, and it was only meant to be a one-album fling.  Travis joined in because he was branching out at the time, also being in the aforementioned Transplants at the same time.

It's an alright album, but my favorite blink-182 side project is +44.  Anything is better than the awfulness of Angels and Airwaves though, ugh.

/blink-182 nerdiness history lesson.

Starting up Clockwork Angels. "Caravan" has a sick riff so far. The bass is killer too.

Edit: Overall, the album's okay. About as good as Snakes & Arrows. In fact, it reminds me of it a lot- both have very strong opening tracks/singles, while the rest of the album falters out after it.

I'm about halfway through. On Seven Cities Of Gold now. I'd say it's about on the same levels as Snakes And Arrows. Some okay songs, but nothing that really interests me. The bass is really good, but everything else sounds kind of... distant? I don't know.

EDIT: The beginning of The Wreckers sounds eerily like "Working At Perfekt" from Geddy's solo album. o.O

I'm not sure that counts, that was before Barker's tenure in blink.

Eminem- "Sing for the Moment"

Damn, I forgot how good this song is. A really good way to use a sample, plus Joe Perry's original solo at the end kicks ass.
